naatsirhc[TK] Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Paul, You have an incoming transmission! Ā These look great Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 I just asked paul to drill em out for me... spot on! Quote
ABS80 Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 (edited) Better looking in shape but way too small. Ā Just look at the hand plate compared to the forearms in the ESB screen shot, now look at TM forearms with the handplates, either TM forearms are too big or the handplates too small. Ā TM handplate strip should be wider than the beginning of the forearm grooved strip, should be almost as wide as widest point of forearms strip, the handplate should be overall bigger. Ā Ā ---------- Ā Mark Edited May 14, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) I have his earlier version, which is a little wider. Ā I like em. Ā well then perhaps mine are the older thinner ones after all? Ā when I compare them to my AP handplates in width, they are not far off... Edited June 22, 2010 by TK Bondservnt 2392 Quote
troopermaster Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) The new ones are slighty wider than the olds ones seen on the top. The measurements for the new plates came from the TE ROTJ kit. ------------ Edited May 14, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
Turrican Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) Also agree to Paul. IMHO,the size fit perfect with the forearms as they should be. Ā ----------- Edited May 14, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote

naatsirhc[TK] Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 Here is a shot of me, I have Paul's older style. The new width and shape of the ones he does now should be right on,IMO. I look forward to my upgrade Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 The ESB should be much bigger than the ANH hand plates. Ā Mark Ā perhaps that's why he made them larger. Ā the thing with paul is that he takes criticism, and acts upon it. changing his moulds, and perfecting, and perfecting... Ā some of the helmet mouldings I've seen for hero helmets for example photographically seem to just jump off the page. Ā I really want a hero helmet now... and TM is probably going to be my next goal for a hero design. Quote
