Hello all.

I think I am the first one in the Spanish Garrison requesting EIB status.

The armor is an AP.

First, here are some general pictures:

The boots are those ones that claimed that part of the benefits were for building water wells for children in Vietnam or something like that.

Hi Javier

Laways good to see another AP build brother....lovely helmet... :)

That build seems very good however, a few questions/pointers..

1. Are your shoulder bridges velcroed? As they do not look straight to me especially on the front chest plate.

2. Are you using elastic on your shoulder bells to draw them in over your bicep? I can't see any from your pics.

3. Advise to put a black elastic to connect your OII plate with the chest plate to pull the two pieces together..

4. How is the side piece of white ABS attached to make it seamless? Is this a permenant attacvhement or have you used velcro or snaps as it looks a bit off to me...

5. Stick your helmet on a lamp so that we can see both of the lenses from the front, also is there a black mesh behind the teeth?

6. The back of the thighs seem off... I can see you have used velcro, you need to line them up properly before you can submitt for EIB.

7. E-11 - we need to see the D-ring on the blaster

8. You also need to show a picture of your right profile side..

That's all from me.... hope that helps

Thanks for the quick feedback!!

1. Yes, the shoulder bridges are velcroed, maybe they were a bit off the day I took the pictures.

2. Yes I am using black elastics to join the shoulder bells with the biceps. Do you need a pic?

3. Initially I had elastics there, but generally I don't use them because it got too rigid and sometimes the abs plate mounted the chest plate. Is it a requirement for EIB? I can attach them and send new pics.

4. The side gaps are filled with non-permanent plastic pieces that are attached with snaps. Now that you mention it they look a bit off. I will add some velcro to keep them in place since the snaps are only on the top and it rotates a bit.

5. Will take the picture with the lamp. There is no mesh behind the teeth, I thought the ones in the movies didn't have one and I preferred not to have it, but can add it no problem if it is required.

6. You are right, they are misaligned in the picture because I didn't attach them correctly. Sorry about that. I will take new pictures and submit.

7. Will take a picture of that.

8. Will take a picture of that.

Javier, no problem for the fast feedback bro, that's what we are here to do... "troopers helping troopers...", the point about the mesh is that we don't want the public to see through..... If you wear a black balaclava, then it's not really an issue... but you'll find black mesh or even a piece of black material should be acceptable...(ok it's not an EIB requirement as such, but nonetheless a standard practice, well it is in the UKG)

None of my helmets have ever or will ever have mesh behind the teeth, simply not screen accurate..

Let's see what Terrell has to say about your application :)

What do you use? I used a pasta strainer and then put black cloth behind it.

thanks

Not using any mesh because it isn't screen accurate means using nothing and leaving the holes open and see-through-ish.

I still have mesh installed in my helmet but am thinking about ripping it out to get closer to that awesome on-screen look. :)

Not sure how screen accurate you want to be, but if you're doing ANH do the ab buttons need to be the right colors? This may not be EIB required, I just noticed that they look like they're black.

Very nice build regardless, good job!

The button colours are the right ones for ANH :) . I used the Humbrol paints: grey #5 and blue #15.

It is indeed a requirement for EIB approval. It is in the base requirements: "Correctly colored and sized ab plate buttons. Buttons are approximately 7/16" in diameter."

Armor looks good. All we need is the right side profile shot, and a picture of the blaster showing the D-ring.

Mesh or any sort of backing on the teeth is not required for EIB.

Yup - many of the notes are really good suggestions to tighten it up, but are not all required elements.

I had this pic around. I didn't include it in the first batch because the light is not very good, but if it could do I would save having to call a friend to take new pictures, having to wear the armor, etc :P

And here is the D-ring of the blaster. It is moulded in the end-cap piece:

Let me know what you think.

EIB approved. Nice job trooper. So are you the first EIB from the Spanish Garrison?

Thank you very much!

Yes, I am the first one. I hope this will encourage more people from my garrison to do the same.

I hope Dmian finishes his armor soon, then we will have two EIBs in the Spanish Garrison!

Congrats on making EIB. Welcome to the ranks.
