Very new to this, so can you tell me what the difference is with the stormtrooper 'hero' and 'stunt', I can see the physical differences but when were the two used in ANH?

Many thanks

Hi Warmshoe - head over to the new member introductions and introduce yourself. It's great to have you join :)

The differentiation between "stunt" and "hero" is primarily that the stunt helmets were worn by the 'anonymous' Stormtrooper troops (Tantive IV raiding party, Tatooine, Death Star etc) while the Hero lids were those worn by Luke and Han when in Stormtrooper disguise or for close ups at the Millenium Falcon gangway.

Of course this isn't a 100% strict division. 6 hero lids were made for ANH and there are times when background troops can occasionally be seen wearing them but basically that's the rule.

Hope this helps :)

I'm pretty new to all of this and during my research I've landed on a lot of these and have no idea what some mean. It's great to have them cleared up!

Thanks for posting these! Super helpful! I've been reading "NE" a lot in reference to a type of armor. Didn't see it in the list. Is that a specific producer of suits? Thanks in advance!
