Nice one Dan..... it will be an easy pass buddy.... (time to flog my elite AP kit.... lol) Quote
stukatrooper Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Well heres a picture to put on your wall mate, and again a very well done .BTW whats R2 like at making coffee. Quote
TK-2126_MD[TK] Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 VERY VERY AWESOME!!!!! well done!!! Quote
R2Dan[TK] Posted January 4, 2010 Author Report Posted January 4, 2010 nice one Peter! Thanks for that! I'm sure R2 is good at making coffee - I can't tell for sure though, as I don't drink any coffee The whole armour is non acrylic capped abs, yep. Looks pretty good though, I like it - and it flexes quite nicely yet feels very firm at 1,5mm only... quality stuff! Quote
R2Dan[TK] Posted January 4, 2010 Author Report Posted January 4, 2010 Just put a strip of thin foam on the back of the thighs. it keeps the front close to your leg and reduces the problem. I was going to try that exactly Way to go! I have no mesh too Just use a balaclava to cover the face inside the helmet (and which can also help in taming your heavy-metal hair!!! ) I have a balaclava for troops, didn't put it on for the pics though... my hair is not that much of a problem actually... as you can see on the pics Quote
R2Dan[TK] Posted January 5, 2010 Author Report Posted January 5, 2010 Oh, by the way - will my EIB picture get upgraded now? I have all the pics in a higher resolution as well, if that helps at all Quote
Obiwendt Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 WOW !! The armor looks awesome ! Well done my friend !! Congratulations ! P.S. R2D2 looks awesome too ! Quote
TK-5069 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Looks fantastic. The only suggestions have been mentioned already. Congrats!! Quote
guitartrooper[501st] Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 Sure looked like a shoo-in for EIB, mate. Great job, and welcome to the elite! Quote
R2Dan[TK] Posted January 31, 2010 Author Report Posted January 31, 2010 Finally managed to get some new pics taken at the children's birthday troop yesterday. They show how the armour looks now that the chest and backplate are connected to the abdomen and kidney. sits even better now I'd say (had to take the detonator off cause them kids wouldn't leave it alone) Quote
