DarthChridan[TK] Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Great looking armor and what a awesome display Quote
darren1970[501st] Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Great PT armour Dennis and I love that display base. Can I ask if you made it yourself. I fancy having a go at one myself. Darren Quote
firebladejedi[TK] Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 That's a great display Quote
DarkTrooper[TK] Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 WOW. That platform is amazing! Great job. Is it a "euro" thing . . . most of the PT builds I've seen have come from that side of the world. Quote
RogueTrooper[TK] Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Awsome display...... Question? I thought PT armor was Banned Still awsome..... Quote
carbonitekid Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Awsome display...... Question? I thought PT armor was Banned Still awsome..... PT the supplier is.... not sure the armour could be banned, recast or not. Quote
RogueTrooper[TK] Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 PT the supplier is.... not sure the armour could be banned, recast or not. I would think if PT (Pirate Trooper) the person is bannned then, it should go without saying that his armor is as well? Quote
RogueTrooper[TK] Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I found this : PT Flexible Armor , 501st Approved??? Under " Recast Discussion" Quote
pandatrooper[TK] Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Awesome looking display! Great job. I've got to try something like that some day. What kind of lights are you using under the platform? Quote
Obiwendt Posted January 1, 2010 Author Report Posted January 1, 2010 Thanks everyone for your feedback! I really appreciate it Can I ask if you made it yourself. I fancy having a go at one myself. Darren Yes, i made it by myself. But it wasn´t my idea . I found it in the internet, like Bobamaker http://www.bobamaker.co.uk/Mannequin_Stand_Project.html But i made a few changes/improvements ! Instead of the fluorescent lights i used only one of these http://www.voelkner.de/products/136132/Sta...c_id=googlebase Is enough as you can see in the pictures ! And instead of the 6 "pin spots" i used two of these ! http://www.voelkner.de/products/71424/Decospot-Blau.html Looks cooler for me and is much cheaper ! But this is a matter of taste For the orange side panels, I have taken these http://www.plexiglas-shop.com/DE/de/platte...adoopvm8~p.html Here are two pictures from the construction phase If you have any questions, feel free to ask me ! Laspector[TK] Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 I've seen that tutorial and have wanted to build one of those bases for years. Never really had the space to display my armor though. Be sure not to keep it by a window. Too much sunlight will tend to yellow the armor over time no matter what kind of plastic it is. At least that was what I was told. Quote
RogueTrooper[TK] Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Thanks Dennis for posting the info of the stand. Great work! I am working on something like this for my 1:1 Solo in Carbonite...... Quote
bluehickey Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 That's a great looking mannequin as well, it's posed very naturally. It doesn't look stiff and fake like most mannequin's. Quote
TK-7980 Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 I would think if PT (Pirate Trooper) the person is bannned then, it should go without saying that his armor is as well? Nope. Quote
BFA Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Nice display and nice armour , congrats on a nice build Quote
