Adoo Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Hi guys I'm needing longer thigh and calf armour, width of my fx is okay. It's just i'm 6 foot 3 and wanna get rid of all the black undersuit showing on my knees and upper thighs. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. Thanks Adam Quote
Bell[TK] Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 RT-Mod is for the taller trooper or so i'm told. I'm still quite new but there worth a go. Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Even with RT Mod, you won't be able to entirely cover the black showing at the knees and hips. TK armor is optimized for troopers who are 5'9" or so. For taller guys (like myself), about the best you can do is center the thigh armor on your leg so that you split the difference. There was a guy here who was experimenting with modding FX thighs to make them longer, but I haven't heard anything recent. If you can find a couple of old spares, you may be able to cut them up and combine them as an experiment. Quote
bluehickey Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 TK armor is optimized for troopers who are 5'9" or so. I'm 5'9" (5'10" with my helmet on ) so if I'm the optimal height for a stormtrooper, how come people frequently use the "aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?" line on me all of the time? TK-7828 Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 I have screenaccurate armor and i am 6.2..looks good on me if you compare to the fx i had before. Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 (edited) I agree that screen-accurate is a better fit for thin (by American norms) troopers, but taller troopers will still have the same issue with excess black showing at the knees, hips, or both. ------------ Edited February 2, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Yup, I'm one of them. Perhaps some day AM (nee FX) or RT will make "tall" parts like KW did with his clones. Another 1.5" to the shins/thighs should do it, or at least 1". Quote
