Hi all I brought this helmet a while back.Its a fiberglass cast.But of what?

This is how it was when I got it.The bottom of the ears are different to what Ive seen on other lids.

I'd say the same. A buddy of mine has a strikingly similar fiberglass helmet and I've held it and worn it. It looks very much the same as this, and his is most likely a SDS battle spec recast.

I have spent some time on this helmet,changed a couple of things which I thought would make it a bit more screen accurate.

Maybe I shouldn't have.But being recast doesn't matter right?

No what I meant was that it shouldn't matter that I modded the helmet sense that its a recast

yeah I know there coming off.Going hand paint them.

do I need to cut more from the inside of the eyes making the gap less.

No problem. I always consult that site when building/painting a helmet. About the decals, its pretty easy to notice the diference after you have been in this hobby for a while. If you are talking about the flashing in the eye sockets of the helmet it really comes down to personal preference on how much you want to trim away. If you are going for a ANH look the eyes were a little more rough cut than the ESB eyes.
