TK5144[TK] Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 http://www.tk409.com/tk409.html looks like TK409 is back in the neckseal production business. Does anyone have a 409 neck seal to compare to the others on the market like oiftanker's? Quote
DarkTrooper[TK] Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 How do these work? I mean, is there a closure on the back of the neck or is his style like a neck piece you simply put your neck through like the top half of a turtle neck. They do look awesome! Quote
TK1491 Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 I own one and I like it quite a bit. Very comfy and looks great. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 It was the first neck seal I've ever owned, and I have it to this day. Love it. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Geez - it's been so many years I forgot, perhaps a month? Couldn't have been bad - I ordered a second a year later. Quote
Sgt JB Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 I have one ordered.... My current one is rubber windshield wiper hose. (looks great, but is really uncomfortable) It's good for a few photos, and whatnot, but really unpleasant for long wear. Quote
Sgt JB Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 Got my TK409 neck seal. Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend!! Quote
dougefresh Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 Got my TK409 neck seal. Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend!! Hey, Eric -- I'm not really too thrilled with the neckseal I have now, and would like to replace it... does the TK-409 seal's material extend below the cut-out in the back plate? My gripe with the one I have now is that it's too short, and I have to tuck the "dickie" material into my undersuit..... and that sounded way more filthy that I intended it to. Eeeechhhh. Quote
Sgt JB Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 haven't worn it yet with armor, but goes a good 5-6" so I'd say so. Quote

I just got my TK0409 neck seal. It looks and feels great! We love pics right? Here's some... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe TK409 IS oiftanker. JimCem99[501st] Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 I just got my TK0409 neck seal. It looks and feels great! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe TK409 IS oiftanker. If that's the case, what happens when you pay via Paypal? I believe oiftanker's wife just had a baby last month and he's busy with his job; good reasons why he hasn't been on in over 2 months. Quote
RocketFinch[TK] Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe TK409 IS oiftanker. No, TK409 and oiftanker are two different people. They both make great neck seals though. Quote
TX-8687[501st] Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 TK409 is a great guy, he's a buddy of mine and has a great collection of costumes, i got to wear his Boba Fett at a troop we did in North Carolina. Great neckseals too!!! Quote
JimCem99[501st] Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) I see he's selling them on eBay ----------- Edited January 17, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed Quote

Jorran Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 For those that bought a neck seal from TK-409, did you put your exact neck size, or add a half size to allow for movement? I don't want to order something too tight. Thanks! Quote
trooperfan Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 I have my Neckseal from TK409... Great quality, excellent fit. I would recommend to any new troopers out there. Quote

Treg Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Asking same question~~~ I emailed him awhile back about this question and he respond saying he would add an inch and 1/2 for comfort. Quote
JKCHEN Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Looks like TK409 out of the business! I ordered and paid for the neckseal at March.10, but till now nothing show up!! and sent a email to him at March.30, so far no response.............does anybody know what's happening?? Quote
Hyper[TK] Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 I ordered one at the first of the year and it took a little while to get here. But not too long. I would just wait it out and send another email. Great neck seal by the way. I always wear it trooping. Quote
Yorkie Fett Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 If these neck seals aren't an option at the moment, can anyone tell who makes good ones that are currently available? Quote
