This sold for $82,600 including buyers premium or approx £51,600. I can say I am well and truly priced out of the helmet market!

 

 

Unbelievable price for a Stormtrooper helmet.

I know PIH stuff sells high but that is just an amazing price given it was one of around 50 RotJ helmets made - and a fair few of which survived the movie and are in private hands.

 

IMO thats double the price you would have expected to pay just 2-3 years ago.

It was before my time being into this hobby but me was told helmets like this went for around 8000$ in 1995? Maybe it was only a tour helmet I don't know. I bet one of you guys know.

I remember when I owned this helmet it was really great. I used to wear it around to Birthday parites, but then one day someone stole it. That's right they came into my space shuttle and took it right off the seat. I was really bummed, but then I heard it was up for auction so I bid on it, alas my bids for my stolen property were refused. It seems these guys don't take space bucks.

Just thought I'd have some fun, and helmet drop a bit.
