Nerdius Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Hiya all, I think my TK is pretty close to meeting the EIB requirements. I have a modified FX and an AP Helmet amongst other stuff.... I just have some questions: * On the holster I have it held by 4 and not 2 studs onto the belt from behind - is that an issue? * There are gaps on my calves (I have put on some kilos as I didn't have a gap a few months back - are 'screen accurate' calves ok or do I have to shim the suckers or lose kilos before resubmitting (sigh)? If I do then I do.. * I am confused - do I need rubber chemical gloves or can I use the nomex ones? I have both I am just curious... Quote
SuperTrooper Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Nomex gloves are fine. The holster studs are not an issue, EIB simply states the holster has to be rear mounted. Lastly I'd shim the calves for a uniform look. Quote
Nerdius Posted September 5, 2009 Author Report Posted September 5, 2009 LOL really I should lose the 10KG I have put on this year...might be better...I will wait till I do that before submitting the actual application Quote
NoVATie[Admin] Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Good info about the belt. I'm a stunt but used 4 before I knew it was 2 for the proper look. Glad I don't have to make a new belt. Quote

I asked him about this question and advised me i should remove the two bottom buttons on my belt. Thanks for the clarification and help sir D! Quote
NoVATie[Admin] Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 So do we need to remove the bottom two or not? haha Quote
SuperTrooper Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 There is a minimum EIB standard and a recommended one. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=7666 Over time the recommended will probably become the required, plus it's a very easy mod. Quote
Murray1134[501st] Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Hijacking a thread here. I've got a question on shimming and EIB standards. I trimmed down my FX barrel thighs to a better, more tapered fit. Only problems is that I was a bit overzealous and trimmed them too small. Unfortunately, new thighs are not yet in the budget. I've got some of the plastic material left over that I used for filling my side-gaps. Would this affect EIB status? Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Shouldn't, as it would be fine for 501st status. Quote

BTW, is it okay to post what I've got so far and then add the rest later? Or is it better to request EIB with everything in one post? Just curious... Quote

When people do that the threads tend to go unchecked. For a smooth and quick process it's better to submit when your all set. Quote
