I have been working on my first hasbro mod. I am going ESB with my armor so I need a blaster to fit the theme. I hope my pics work below.

I started with the removal of the site pieces and barrell tip to remove the guts of the blaster.

hasbro2.jpg

I then marked and cut-out the counterbox with a cut-off wheel and cutter tip.

hasbro3.jpg

hasbro5.jpg

I then filled in the site with part of the front site and a piece of PVC

hasbro6.jpg

Next, was to carefully modify the plastic that I cut away from counter box.

After that I filled all the seems with bondo and sanded flush

hasbro7.jpg

Removed part of lower left T-track and drilled holes

hasbro8.jpg

Carefully removed C from first hole on right and then drilled a new hole and re-attached C in opposite direction

hasbro9.jpg

A liittle more work and this is where I am at now!

Here is the next round of progress, the fires and heat in SoCal have been slowing me down!

Time to remove the front sight

hasbro11.jpg

Carefully using cut-off wheel and exacto to realease part

hasbro12.jpg

Small parts to prep for paint-front piece of main sight, back piece of main sight, front sight, barrel tip,triggerhasbro13.jpg

Next, application of sight knob on right side

hasbro14.jpg

Home made greeblies, from oven bake clay- once finetuned I will make molds

hasbro15.jpg

Marking the gap between front folding stock piece and arm

hasbro16.jpg

Adding extention to folding stock using internal plastic from blaster

hasbro17.jpg

Profile of counter clip

hasbro18.jpg

Barrel tip, here's were I need help! Is this the correct position of tip?

hasbro19.jpg

The air quality is terrible out my way. Ash all over the place and blazing heat. I have not been able to get a whole lot done , but here is an update!

I found that lamp chain works as a pretty good D-Ring

hasbro21.jpg

Applied bondo to the stock extention

hasbro24.jpg

hasbro25.jpg

Then sanded bondo

hasbro26.jpg

Then I drilled holes into both stock pieces to allow a screw for support

hasbro27.jpg

I then used a stick to dry test the fit

hasbro28.jpg

With the stick inside held stock to blaster to check fit

hasbro29.jpg

I purchased some 5-minute epoxy for a fast, strong bond. Until now, I was using E-6000

hasbro30.jpg

From this view you can see that I counter sunk the hole for the screw

hasbro31.jpg

Primed right side w/ greeblies

hasbro32.jpg

primed left side w/ greeblies

hasbro33.jpg

Still waiting on T-Track, going to bondo stock and add pins to arms! B)

Thank you for all the support. I'm getting close to the finish. Just a small update on where I am at.

I Patched the joining area of the two stock pieces and then sanded smooth. I then primed and painted

hasbro34.jpg

Received my T-tracks from Smitty

hasbro35.jpg

Cut notches out of track and used lighter to soften, bend and form ends

hasbro36.jpg

Clamped finished tracks to blaster

hasbro37.jpg

Drilled holes on both sides and installed plastic screw holders( for drywall )

hasbro38.jpg

Then, drilled holes in stock handle for screws to attach to blaster

hasbro39.jpg

Applied silver paint to bolt section

hasbro40.jpg

Still have to put the guts back in and solder before I can finish the outside.

Getting the tracks today really got me back on schedule, thanks again Smitty!

Well, I took a little brake to dip into my armor. Took the wife and daughter for the weekend to go jet skiing with some family friends. Now, I have decided to finish my blaster!

I just had to replace those hasbro tracks, I did not like how they pointed in. I used the cut-off wheel and then used a drum sander attachment to sand down ridges.

hasbro43.jpg

hasbro44.jpg

I then added my Smitty tracks

hasbro45.jpg

hasbro46.jpg

Next, glued piece to back, bottom of blaster and d-ring

hasbro47.jpg

hasbro48.jpg

Filled screw holes with vinyl spackle

hasbro49.jpg

Bondo added to barrel tip and then sanded smooth with mouse 220 grit then hand fine grit

hasbro50.jpg

hasbro51.jpg

Glued front site pieces

hasbro52.jpg

I am almost ready for final paint, here is ESB blaster sideview w/ sights

Man that is beautiful! Where did you find the alligator clip greeblies? They look fantastic!

Thanks for the compliment! The answer is that I made the greeblies and sights with ovenbake craft clay from scratch. I am thinking about making an ESB kit, once I get my armor finished.

After some wet sanding I was ready for another coat of paint. I originally started with the krylon fusion satin black, but I found this paint tempermental. I switched to the rustoleum brand of the same kind of paint and was pleased with the result. I still have a little more wet sanding to do in some areas, before adding final coat. Here is a pick of the folding stock being epoxied.

I am almost done, I will post the final pics and my reference photos. I used John's (stormtrooper) molded ESB blaster as the basis for my mod. I hope this qualifies for EIB!

Thanks again for the comments. I am sticking a fork in this blaster and jumping back on my armor and bucket. I would like to thank John(stormtrooper) for his great cast of an ESB blaster and ask forgiveness for using his photos here. I am still new and not sure where or how to link from original thread. I would also like to thank all of those troopers who have done hasbro mod threads before me, I found their ideas and hard work very useful. B)

I know most of the blasters used were ANH with out the counter, but I am shooting for EIB so I was stoked to find this reference. I hope that I did something new and different that will eventually lead to even better ideas. Here are the finished pics w/ related reference shot.
