GosHawk[501st] Posted September 30, 2009 Author Report Posted September 30, 2009 got my decals in! Ā http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki...icture008-1.jpg Ā http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki...ture006-1-1.jpg Ā http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki...ture007-1-1.jpg Ā im having trouble putting on the neck trim....any tips? its the neck trim that came with the kit. Quote
naatsirhc[TK] Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Eric, Nice job on the bucket! For the neck trim I bend it to where the flaps open up, then the strip is somewhat flat. Put the inside seem against the helmet and run it around keeping the flaps open. As you go along the rubber will then grip the helmet and you will get a nice snug fit. I hope this helps, if not i will post a pick of what I am describing. Quote
GosHawk[501st] Posted October 3, 2009 Author Report Posted October 3, 2009 too short for a stormtrooper? nope.....to skinny? HELL YES! LOL got my under armor in and needless to say I had my first real test fit! Ā I will need to adjust elastic on the thighs, add foam on pretty much everything. Lower the thighs also. the shoulder bell is to far back as well. still have to get the neck seal and belt done. getting my gloves tomorrow and boots some time soon. Ā those are the only things I could tell....please feel free to add anything. Ā http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki...icture016-1.jpg Ā http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki...icture015-1.jpg Ā http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki...icture014-2.jpg Ā http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki...icture013-2.jpg Ā PS. yes I love rocken the chucks lol Quote
Agent RayBans Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Too skinny? I wish I had that problem They have a costume for really skinny people: C-3PO Ā Did you trim the top of your thighs? Them seem a little oddly shaped. Maybe you should turn them inwards a little bit? Also if you're going for a TK that looks like the wrong sniper plate. Quote
GosHawk[501st] Posted October 3, 2009 Author Report Posted October 3, 2009 I'll try and see what I can do with the thighs. Ā This will be a TD Quote
TKDUEUNO Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Don't know exactly about ATA armor, but usually on the shins the outer part should overlap the inner part, you have it the other way around. And I think you overtrimmed the top of the thighs too. Ā Other than that it's looking great Quote

Ā Other than that it's looking great Ā Ā Your right I think I did over trim the thighs. I'll turn them inwards a bit more and pray when I get my pouches they will cover some of it so it won't be that noticable heh. Ā As for the shins, I'll need to switch that around. What can take off Velcro? And I'll need to take off the flash that hides the seam, how do I take take that off? It's being held by e6000 glue. Quote
Plastic Fury[TK] Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Haha I too wish I had being "too skinny" as a problem lol. Ā Yeah the thighs look more rounded as apposed to the usual shape they are but wait until you have it all together and then see. Ā Ā Can you apply for EIB with a TD?? .... or are you meaning deployment with the MEPD? Quote
GosHawk[501st] Posted October 3, 2009 Author Report Posted October 3, 2009 I mean deployment with the mepd I maily post here because there's more Info/activity on these boards Quote

A few hours in there, and it should be enough that you can pull it apart. You will still have to pull... CAREFULLY, you can damage the plastic. An Exacto Knife will be your friend here. The E6000 tends to hold it's elasticity, but the knife will help. Go slow and it should come apart. Quote

Hope you don't have to wait too long for your number, I can definately relate to being completed and then that lull until that wonderful e-mail arrives with your official status. You were one of the first doing an ATA build thread, I found it helpful as I began mine. Look forward to running into you at a troop in the future! Great TD Quote
