TK Tap shoes?

Has anyone thought to put some kind of tap shoes on the bottom of their TK boots so they make that awesome *CLACK CLACK* sound like in the movies?

Also IF you have a buddy in the military, I'm sure they could pick some up from Military clothing sales. I remember hearing that "click clack" sound every day in Boot Camp. The TI's wore them.

As to the folks who did a tour at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You certainly can't wear them on the flight line though.

I have exactly what Paul suggests on my TK boots- it is effective on the correct surface but be aware it can be more slippery as a result.

Thumb tacks!!!!! cheap and getts the same result with out needing a cobbler (sp?)

They are called boot savers. TIs (boot Camp instructors) wear them so they won't have to get new boots all the time. Those guys are always marching! They make hard black plastic ones as well as metal ones. The plastic boot savers aren't as obnoxiously loud as metal but I think they're safer traction-wise.

this is a good idea, i started looking around for something like this... considering getting plastic taps that tap dancers use from ebay lol, much more effective for that cool clack sound when marching, then again i might go metal since you wont hear the plastic ones outside as good
