TK 6918[501st] Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Looks good. If your doing the stunt configuration you only need 2 bottom screws to hold the holster to the belt. I have a question, does the AP thermal detonator come with the mounting metal clips? Quote
james007bond[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 Re the holster i meant to say it's riveteed to the canvas belt with 4 white rivets but has two 'screws' to hold it to the bottom of the belt via the belt loop .... The O2 has 2 bendy clips Pics to follow... Quote
james007bond[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 O2 canister Holster cheers Quote

I'm just waiting for my TK number now from the 501st command HQ, they say it could take up to 3weeks... jeeez... I'll be weathering the blaster on Friday so may update my pics then... Post those pics when you get a chance.... cheers Shiv Quote
TK 6918[501st] Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Oh wow you aren't 501st yet and your already EIB quality? What do they feed you guys in the UK? You guys set the standards quite high Quote
james007bond[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 Oh wow you aren't 501st yet and your already EIB quality? What do they feed you guys in the UK? You guys set the standards quite high the UKG cleared me last night and I figured I may aswell put the request in at the same time for EIB. I've been a member of FISD forum for a few months and let's face it, it's the place to been seen and be known in our Imperial universe....I'm just waiting for my TK number to come through from the 501st HQ so hopefully that's just a formality.. Can't wait to go on my first induction event in the UK.. We get fed too many Fish and Chips and of course drink Guiness Quote
darren1970[501st] Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Hey Shiv, you and Steve are fast movers. Good on yer. I was gonna put in for EIB, need a canvas belt and a change to the holster amongst other things. Darren Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Looks outstanding to me and ready to go! Except...the aerators. The stock aerators that come with the AP are not accurate enough for EIB. You can get new ones from Keith or Stomper, and I think soon a few others. Swap those out and you'll be set, I believe. Also, is anyone tight with AP? If so you should suggest he put good aerators in his kit. Else I'll give him a ping. Quote
james007bond[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 Hi Paul The hovis are actually movie accurate one, my picture is just a bad one.... i'll post up a better picture.... Does this look ok... maybe th angle is not a good one, but the hovis are angled slightly on the end, i then painted them 2 tone and added the mesh.... Quote
Irishtrooper Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Shiv that a great piece of kit you got there bud, you wear it well! Darren, when you come up to CMG you can have a look at mine and Aarons armour as we are both EIB at moment, that is if you are going for it bud and havent done the mods yet. Quote
james007bond[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 Thanks Mark..... Still need to loose a few pounds though.... lol, then i'll be more comfortable..... it's all that Guiness... ... evil stuff... Quote
SuperTrooper Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 We also need a picture showing the lens color. Quote
james007bond[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 Certainly, lenses are flat shade 3 dark green from the one and only Smitty... Looking at my piccy they look bubbled but they are not. They just have a curve to them to fit the countour of the eyes. I also have a shade 5 dark green which are way too dark..... Anything else, let me know...... thx Quote
firebladejedi[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Looking really good there buddy Quote
Billhag Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Shiv Looking mighty darn fine there mate, As Terrell said, need a picture showing the lens color, so stick your lid over a lamp & take a shot so that you can show that the colour is green because it doesn't come out too well in the photos. Other then that I think you are good to go as soon as you get your TK number and costume listed up on the main 501st Quote
james007bond[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 Hey Billy, will do..... I see what your mean now about the colour of the lenses.... will find a lamp and do the colour test... Hopefully the TK number isn't far off...... Can someone nudge the 501st HQ for me..... Quote
darren1970[501st] Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Sorry to hijack the thead Shiv but thanks to Mark ( Irishtrooper ) for the offer of EIB advice at Collectormania Glasgow. Also thnks to Steve Parkes ( you know why ) top man. May get to join you as an 'Expert Infantryman' yet Shiv. Quote
TK6631[501st] Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Also thnks to Steve Parkes ( you know why ) top man. No worries Darren, glad to help out a fellow trooper Quote
james007bond[TK] Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 No worries Daz, hijack away... Gentlemen, i stuck the lid on top of a lamp and this is how the pics have come out. Believe it or not, this bucket has shade 3 dark green lenses.... the lamp/flash on y camera kinda makes them look yellow... Perhaps I should take the pcs in normal sunlight? Quote
