AJCG Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 FYI I ordered some neck trim from Webber's (WINDOW & AD GLASS RUBBER #RG102 "S" SHAPED RUBBER GASKET). Surprisingly I noticed they just changed the profile slightly from the original without mentioned it. The new profile is slightly thinner than the previous one I bought from them 2 years ago. The outside lip of the "s" trim cover less surface than their previous version what it makes this trim not very accurate anymore. Cheers A PD:I can post some pics if you wish Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Some "then" vs "now" photos would be good. Quote
Darth_Finger Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 I would like to see some pics. I should have bought some of this stuff a while back. Quote

Ok guys here we go, first thing just to let you know that I removed the inner lip from my old Weber's trim since I needed it for my ESB helmet so the profile looks like a U trim. Anyway the new "s" trim is clearly smaller. Cheers A Edited June 26, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photos updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote

One more thing, the old one used to be covered in a white powder, the new one comes completely clean. Cheers A Quote
Verne Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Thanks for these pictures Armando. It's what I thought. When I saw your ESB helmet, the neck trim seemed to be larger than my "S" shaped trim from Webers. Too bad, the old style was perfect for an ESB helmet <_< Quote
troopermaster Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 (edited) This shows how the old spec from a few years ago differs from the Webers and my trim. Edited June 26, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photos updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote

troopermaster Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Thin channel goes on the helmet, thick channel goes to the inside for ANH. For ROTJ the thin channel went on the helmet while the thick channel went to the outside. Quote

Nice to know all this things, I will add something else, the ESB trim was identical to the ANH and positioned the same way except the thick channel was removed so it looked like a U channel.
