Weber's "S" neck trim profile changed

FYI I ordered some neck trim from Webber's (WINDOW & AD GLASS RUBBER #RG102 "S" SHAPED RUBBER GASKET). Surprisingly I noticed they just changed the profile slightly from the original without mentioned it. The new profile is slightly thinner than the previous one I bought from them 2 years ago. The outside lip of the "s" trim cover less surface than their previous version what it makes this trim not very accurate anymore.

Ok guys here we go, first thing just to let you know that I removed the inner lip from my old Weber's trim since I needed it for my ESB helmet so the profile looks like a U trim. Anyway the new "s" trim is clearly smaller.

Actually that is a good point, I should do that. One more thing, the old one used to be covered in a white powder, the new one comes completely clean.

It's what I thought. When I saw your ESB helmet, the neck trim seemed to be larger than my "S" shaped trim from Webers.

 

Too bad, the old style was perfect for an ESB helmet <_<

Here's a silly question: for ANH buckets, do you run the "S" side around the rim of the helmet or the "U" side?

Thin channel goes on the helmet, thick channel goes to the inside for ANH. For ROTJ the thin channel went on the helmet while the thick channel went to the outside.

Thanks Paul . Nice to know all this things, I will add something else, the ESB trim was identical to the ANH and positioned the same way except the thick channel was removed so it looked like a U channel.
