first of all all i can say is how much i love my tm stormtrooper armour i cannot praise it enough its great, i do have a couple of question if any of you can help

my shoulder bells dont fit over my bicep armour without bending the shoulder bell out. i have a 7mm lip on the bottom of the bicep should i trim more off?

secondly my thighs the area where there ANH strip is isnt straight i have a curve in the so ive had to sand them curved to fit is this normal?

and last but not least what diamiter should the bicep armour be mines 110mm from ANH strip to ANH strip and 125mm from moulded strip to opposite side are they about right?

cheers

Hi Andy! The TM is the best you can get IMHO, I'm in love with mine too!

Seems that you have to "shrink" the biceps a bit. I did the same with mine, and trimmed until they don't open up the shoulder bell.

I trimmed a lot of the shoulder bell lip too, look at my pics.

As for the thighs strips, heat them up gently with a heatgun, keep them well pressed flat on the table and bend them to follow the thigh curve, I did it that way. Heat gently and evenly and work in small increments, then sand down and finish the strip.

I don't have the armor here to take measurements, I will as soon as I get home this evening :)

The trick is to watch again and again all the reference pictures and trim the armor to perfetcly fit YOUR body structure.

Be sure to check Stukatrooper's Build, that's what I did :Dhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/stukatrooper/...57603721766632/

If you have other questions just ask :)

Get your biceps to fit you correctly first. All the arm and leg parts can be trimmed down and there is no set size for them, so trim them down if neccesary. Once you are happy with the biceps, a 20mm wide black elastic strap glued inside at the the bottom of the shoulder bell will keep the bell from sticking out.

The original ANH armour is far from perfect and the joining strips rarely fit the flat edges of the thigh as they should. I make a 20mm wide joining strip and I mark it half way (10mm) and offer it up to each half of the thigh and make a pencil mark where the 10mm mark is. This usually ends up being something like 15mm wide at the top of the thigh, 10mm in the middle and 12-15mm at the bottom. Do not panic if the strips do not meet the flat section of the thigh, it's normal :) Just check out any original armour photos for reference.

There is no set size. Whatever fits you is the size it should be. Don't make them too tight, just nice and loose. Make sure to do plenty of test fitting before you commit to gluing them together.

Hope that helps Andy :)

Hi Andy,

If you can, post some pics of your build, this will probably make it easier for people to help :)

Incidently, I'm also waiting for my TM armour , am slowly getting excited and can't wait to get my hands on it and start the build...

All the best...

I have to say that all the waiting and the work will be worth it as I agree this is probably the best armour available!! I certainly love mine and am forever complimented on it.
