Like forcepike.com and mepd.com. Do you HAVE to already be a member of the 501st? Damn, I have two stormtrooper helmets and they are both dirty ALREADY!!! LOL!!! I think I will start dirty and think about going clean. (snicker) I am working on both costumes and was hoping to get info as I build, but can not seem to get access. Any thoughts? Runnriottt Posted February 20, 2007 Report Share Posted February 20, 2007 I am having the same trouble on the Forcepike boards and I own a complete and hopefully accepted TR EU costume. I have emiled the admin a couple of times, but I think the problem is there not well traveled boards, (at least the TR) and it might take some time to get in contact. Thanks for the confirmation that I am not the only one out in space! LOL!! With the registration and then having to wait for a HUMAN to make the approval. Could be a LONG wait. We just had a huge over-haul to the registration process due to a severe bot problem (now elimitnated) if you registered and have not yet gotten an activation email you got deleted in the purge earlier today. Amazing how much you can learn from all of brothers/sisters in armor. Especially considering that MEPD was the template for FISD. We had a bad bot problem, up to 200 bots a week. I would sort through them one-by-one once a week to find maybe 5 real people (probably miss just as many). Often I would miss them if they didn't have a "TK####" type name. Although at least two bots I remember mimicked board names. Although, the bot had too many numbers behind "TK". Now thanks to our newest member of the web team I have it real easy, and haven't seen a bot in a week! He updated the interface too, so now I can see all unactivated members and take care of dozens of new members in a few minutes. I worked through a 600-bot backlog last weekend in less than 20 minutes. Now all I see is real people signing up! I hope you guys don't have too much bot trouble, it saps a lot of time from fun work. We (as many other boards) had severe probs with spam accounts and people who wanted to tell us that we need viagra. I'm sorry that not everything works smooth yet. It is not easy to filter out the "real" persons from the spamthings... like Seth wrote. Forcepike has internal parts as well, if a user wants access to 501st only parts he has to contact a mod.
