I ended up using 3 rivets to arrach the plastic ammo be;t to the canvas one to keep those pieces laying nice and flat together. Then I used two snaps to connect it to the ab. On my first try the belt was a little below the box on the ab with the five buttons, so I used pliers to carefully take the snaps out of the belt and placed them 1/4 inch higher. Much better!

Awesome find. I'm glad that this thread is still here as it's been roughly 12 years since it was made. Now to find some fabric and start making my belt.

Thank you for this I used it to make my belt. small changes. I 'bagged out' the belt after sewing both sides and one end then push plastic supports for the Detonator and the Holster in.  The Detonator bit snapped horizontally but will still give support to the piece, I needed better plastic.
