So because Billy has kicked me in the butt for letting my CAP helmet sit on a shelf uncomplete and collecting dust....I am going to finish it.

Here it is:

Right after I opened the box:

Billy lit a fire underneath me and I am nervous as this is my first helmet and my first attempt at painting.

More to come later tonight........

Can't wait to see more pix - alas one's cherry has to be popped sooner or later ;-)

Isn't that the truth. I remember when I sprayed my first lid, I thought I was going to mess it up. I'm glad I had Mike's tutorial to follow.

Alright...this is how it started.

I used Rustoleum Plastic Primer....

That stuff is shiny!

YEEEEE-HARRHHH!!,

About bloody time!! :D

Looking good mate, just take your time and don't rush it and you already know that you can't

go wrong with following Mike's brilliant builds....the man's a legend B)

Looks like that 'mystery' package will be winging its way over to Texas sooner than I thought :D

Got to let it sit :(

But I bought the Testors 1138 and I got a week off without pay so I have time.........

Matt

Looking mighty darn fine there Sir!! B)

The waiting is definitely one of the worst bits, 'coz you just want to get stuck in

and keep the momentum going. :(

Still, there must be some other little project lurking on that work bench that

requires some attention while you kick back and wait?......hrrrm? ^_^

:D Now WHO said anything about blasters? :D

That's looking real good.

Oh don't worry Billy! The blaster is being worked on as we speak!

Alas...I have found that there is a paint run on my bucket! So I will have to sand it out and re-spray...more waiting...

Got the paint run fixed!

Now all I got to do is paint the small details!

Fantastic job mate, I love it!! well done Sir! :duim:

One teeeeeney tiny little thing that I'd change would be the ends of the frown

they seem to end a bit too square.Perhaps follow it through past the un cut

last teeth on each side

Brilliant work mate, and I'm so glad that you finally bit the bullet and got stuck into it

and finished it off :)

Sweet bucket!

Billy, I was about to say the same thing!

I would also thicken the "antenna" line on the ears.
