BactaReality Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 I noticed the holsters straps don't appear to be made of the same material as the rest of it. Anyone have any insight as to what the straps were made of and how they were attatched to the rest of the holster? Quote
troopermaster Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 The straps look like natural leather rather than dyed and are riveted to the belt and holster. Quote
BactaReality Posted February 10, 2007 Author Report Posted February 10, 2007 That's what I was thinking too. This was a captured frame that was done just to test the quality of image I could get, when I noticed the colored difference in the straps. They almost look like a completely seperate type of material that attatched to the holster. I would also agree that it would appear that the straps were riveted or something to both the holster and belt. I'm going to try and capture some more frames later to see if I can find any closer, clearer images. This is the first time I've been able to capture frames like this so I'm pretty excited about all the detailed images soon to be in my archive. Quote
firebladejedi[TK] Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Check out the screen cap of luke putting on the trooper belt after getting out of the trash compactor, good shot of the rivets in the belt holding on the holster. Quote

davej[TK] Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Hi guys , long time lurker , first time poster ! If you have a closer look at the trooper next to R2 , his straps are the same colour as his holster ( like we assume is normal ) . Probably a case of using whatever they had on hand ? A quick and dirty field replacement on set ? Dave . Quote

If you look closer, the right one appears natural. They may look black due to being in shadow, although it wouldn't surprise me if they were inconsistent. Quote
Hammer3246 Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 They are rivets Do you have the rest of this picture? Quote
troopermaster Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Not any more. It was lost on my old computer unfortunately. Quote

TK8280 Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 check out the tape on lukes belt box!! quick fix lol yeah, they used tape for alot of stuff Quote
Guest T*E Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 yeah, they used tape for alot of stuff Some of the belets I was working with in April didnt have rivets although the majority did. Surprisingly the budget was nil and thye also used STAPLES. Yes.. plain old staples to attach the holsters. Most were natural undyed reversed leather for the straps. one or two were black dyed but still reversed. Hope this helps. TE Quote
troopermaster Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 I thought I'd share this pic of my holster. I will be making some more in the near future 1 Quote
