dougefresh Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 You're rockin' and rollin', Andy! Looks the business! Keep it up! Quote
TK-1287 Posted February 8, 2009 Author Report Posted February 8, 2009 The frown, ears, and vocoder have been painted. All that I need to do to the helmet now are to paint the stripes on the ears, install the lenses, and install the frown mesh. After this comes pics of the armour The armour is about 90% trimmed, I just need to first start learning to work with this modeling iron!! Quote
ThayNerd[TK] Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Looking good, can't wait to see the finished product. Quote
TK-1287 Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Posted February 14, 2009 My canvas belt has arrived. Only problem is that it is white, not the off-white which I requested. No problem though, I can fix this through weathering Here is my armour at the moment, everything is trimmed except for the upper back (in the mail), the drop boxes, and the side caps to the bomb. I have begun assembling the arms too. Quote
TK8776 jgarrettg Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Looking awesome Andy! Love that helmet. Quote
troopermaster Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Good to see your putting in the extra effort with the black chelsea boots. This is one of the easier/cheaper mods to do with your armour to get closer to screen accuracy and something most don't even bother with. Good job Andy Quote
TK-1287 Posted March 7, 2009 Author Report Posted March 7, 2009 Thanks Paul They are not only more screen accurate, they are also more comfortable!! I will never recommend CA boots to anyone after wearing some real Jodphurs, only downfall is they took 6 weeks to get to my house after they were shipped. Quote

Can you post one of those fancy Youtube tutorials when you dye them, Andy (a la the electrical tape armor trimming ones we've come to know and love)? My jodhpurs should be here next week and -- if not a video tutorial -- at least a step-by-step would be cool. -Chris Quote
troopermaster Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Well you know what they say "All good things come to those who wait" I wish I could recommend a good dye for the boots but everyone I have tried has peeled off. The dye I use is this one MAGIX DYE Quote
Madmartigan Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Well you know what they say "All good things come to those who wait" I do hope you're not referring to my pestering you about the armor. lol -C Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Just wanted to give shout out on the build. It's great to see this come together piece by piece and now that we're done with the appetizers, can't wait to see the first course Quote
