Jedioscuro1987[501st] Posted December 16 Report Posted December 16 Hi I am alvaro 501st member that I have a kylo ren from the Spanish garrison I ask to a builder that have a project of capitán enoch to build from the scratch. I saw that there is a no crl published yet only a draft link and the here in this forum. I have a lot of questions: What is the best way to follow and try to obtain the aproval if no crl ? What are the gml based on for the aproval? What gml (local spain or central) is the best to ask when I have any update? How I know when will be published? I always appreciate any help and guide Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted December 16 Report Posted December 16 Hello and welcome, if already a 501st member you can request higher access here Draft of the CRL is here The CRL has not been published yet, needs a final go over with the text and waiting on a model and all the photos required for the CRL. You will know when it is published as the detachment and legion post it on facebook, it will also be posted here on the forum in announcements and in the monthly newsletter. 1 Quote
Nairy[Staff] Posted December 16 Report Posted December 16 Hello and welcome to the forum Alvaro! Glad to have you here! We currently have a few people building the Enoch! I would also suggest going here to check out some of them to learn more about it! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/266-cpt-enoch-build-threads/ 1 Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted December 17 Report Posted December 17 Welcome aboard Alvaro! Cpt Enoch is slowly proving to be a more and more popular costume, which is great to see. As the guys have already stated, definitely check out the work in progress CRL and other build threads here on FISD. This is a costume of great detail, so if ever in doubt, ask plenty of questions. We are looking forward to seeing your progress so please do start a build thread once under way. 1 Quote

Imagine that I am the first one with all acrding to this forum There needs to be a CRL first, but if you're there one that we base the CRL on (a.k.a the first approvable costume) then the CRL would first be created and once it is, you send your images to your GML as usual 1 Quote
Jedioscuro1987[501st] Posted December 18 Author Report Posted December 18 (edited) So if I understand well I will need to send the images to my gml (spanish garrison or need to be the 501st central ?) the crl will be create based on my images and published, right? Will you use the GML, the CRl draft of Captain Enoch's thread as a basis to see if you are eligible as a first aprovable costume Sorry to do a lot of questions about that but I know the process when there is a CRL but no when there is no one and its the first time to me in this situation Edited December 18 by Jedioscuro1987 Quote

Once that is complete it is sent to the Legion Membership Officer team to decide if the CRL is complete and meets their requirements and ready for inclusion into the legion. More info on the process https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRLGuide Notes to Keep in Mind Typically as much time will be spent researching and looking at reference sources as it will take to make / assemble the costume. Ideally, there are clear full body pictures of the front, side, and back. When in doubt, email and ask LMO@501st.com, providing all reference for the character in question. Understand that a CRL undergoes many revisions by many people before publishing and that it is possible that there are multiple people working on the same costume at the same time. There are no guidelines on creating a new costume aside from reference material, and a costumer may be asked to change things multiple times. Understand that a CRL is not intended to be a detailed how-to on costume construction; rather it is a visual guide to be used for 501st costume approval. Detailed instructions, designs, and specific measurements are to be recorded within the detachment forum’s WIP documentation. The costume will not be approved in the Membership Database until all of the steps to create the CRL are completed. The wait period from completion of costume to approval can be lengthy. Pictures of the costume being worn, as well as costume parts requested. The first completed costume is not always the CRL model. Sometimes multiple applicants images are used to complete a CRL. Images should be captured against a simple, contrasting background, at high resolution, with good lighting. The Detachment and/or LMO may ask for assistance in writing the text of the CRL, but this is not always the case. Before any CRL goes live, it will be reviewed, edited, and approved by the LMO Team. Once approved, the new costume will be added to the membership database, and the CRL published on the wiki (Databank). Edited December 18 by themaninthesuitcase Cleaned up some of the formatting. 3 Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted December 18 Report Posted December 18 As Glen has said, we'd want to see the photos first. If we feel they meet the criteria for the CRL, we will then update the LMO to make the live CRL. Your best bet is to create a build thread in the Enoch area: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/266-cpt-enoch-build-threads/ Once you've done that we will be able to update you on any changes or what the next steps would be. 1 Quote
