gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted December 3 Report Posted December 3 Nice work trooper, you may want to remove a little paint on/close to the gums before the DO's get here, tooth pick with mineral turps can be helpful For Basic approval and above, Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area. Eight total teeth on the frown are cut out. Good luck with your application 1 Quote

I just did some research. It is apparently very difficult to get mineral turps in Germany. Just Turps replacement stuff. Do you have another idea? Edited December 3 by Tall_Trooper Quote

Just using the tooth pick or other sharp implement, scrap plastic cut on an angle, can be enough. Definitely NO THINNERS, as it can melt the plastic. Cutting polish may also be an option, a little harder to control though. Also noticed it appears you are missing the cocking lever (charging handle) off your blaster, although not mentioned in the CRL it is a requirement A few options, if you have (or know anyone with) a 3D printer you could print one, some great files here Or if you have old skool talents (hands on building) you could make one, I have used a plastic paint brush handle, shape and apply a little heat Or you may be able to purchase one from one of the blaster suppliers Reference: 2 Quote
Tall_Trooper[TK] Posted December 3 Author Report Posted December 3 (edited) Okay, this is going better than I thought I fixed the frown. Also I realized that I picked up the wrong blaster. Here is my "real blaster": I hope it's better this way. But thank you very much for the help Edited December 3 by Tall_Trooper 4 Quote

Lafleur[TK] Posted December 8 Report Posted December 8 Looking good trooper! 😃 You need to fix the missing unpainted split rivet for your cod piece though. You just have a hole there at the moment 🤔 1 Quote
TKSpartan[Staff] Posted Friday at 02:20 PM Report Posted Friday at 02:20 PM Hi Torben, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Not a deal breaker, but it looks like you may have a bit too much padding in the top of your helmet. It is sitting pretty high and for a much better overall look should sit a lot lower. Reference Images In most of the ANH Stunts seeing on screen, the Brow trim goes a bit high than yours. If you want to keep this Ep4 look, we are suggesting to rise it up a bit. Reference Images You may want to turn the screw a few times to loosen it a little and make the ear look more rounded Reference Images The painting of the ears should cover the entire “raised area”. Just need a painting session Trooper Reference images The ear screws should go aligned with the rear edge of the Traps (it is mentioned just for your consideration as it is a more elaborate setting). Reference Images Moving down to your arms, we noticed that your bicep armor is a bit wide comparing to your body. This is just a matter of carefully remove the rear cover strip and resize the biceps Reference Images Just a dressing issue here, take care to position your TD a little bit lower to the canvas belt level. Reference Images We are suggesting to trim the rounded section of your snipper knee corner to match the screen used ones. Easy fix. As you can see bellow, the arms cover strips have different cut ending compared to the legs ones, you would look better if they match. Finally in this section, just another dressing issue to take care every time you put on your amor and it is to make sure that the rear closure of your calves is correctly adjusted without gaps. Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. We noticed a different gap size in between the caps and center panel of your thermal detonator , you will need to carefully peel off the center panel and relocate it with the correct place with the checked measurement. Reference Image It looks like there are a couple of tears or holes in your canvas belt that need some attention. Reference Images CRL L3: The blaster may have minor weathering or base metal exposure however, T-tracks and grips shall be of a black plastic appearance with no silver/metallic weathering allowed. This is just a painting session to give another coat of black paint to the t-tracks and the grip. Reference Images Your Scope Rail appears to be a little bowed, perhaps due to there being no metal support on the front section as in the reference image. . Reference Image It looks like your E11 blaster has a bit excess of wire , most blaster seen on screen doesn't have them at all, but when present it's less in amount. Reference Images The Hengstler counter looks like angles a bit. You may want to move it to be more straights. Reference Images That's all trooper. We are confident that you can lead with the corrections and take the next step to the higher level. Perhaps, it would look like a lot of work ahead but even the suggestions made can be achieved and doing so, you will look like coming out directly from the movie. Congratulations for your EIB badge !!! 1 Quote
