ZanderCage[TK] Posted Monday at 12:27 AM Report Posted Monday at 12:27 AM So I recently got an Aker 1506 to use as the sound system for my TK but I'm having a problem where the mic is picking up my helmet fans and it's constantly making this low humming sound. Has anyone dealt with this before? If you have, what advice would you have to fix this problem or should I just accept it and leave it. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted Monday at 01:28 AM Report Posted Monday at 01:28 AM I've not had this issue before, I'm only using 5V on my blower fan and only one fan at a time, Aker is mounted behind chest also. I know some have issues with the amp in the helmet with mic/fan feedback. You may be able to try a noise suppressor, not sure if that would make a difference Quote

Putting something inside your helmet to help with dampening the sound (making it not bounce as much) could help. When it comes to the fan air blowing ofc a puffy mic protector will help, and lastly changing positions of the fans (alternatively lubricate them or swap out to quieter ones), that's all I can think of 1 Quote
TheRascalKing[TK] Posted Monday at 06:55 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:55 PM Many mics are actually directional underneath the little puffy foam cover, so ensure it's actually pointed towards your mouth and not outward. I have mine literally almost touching my lips when I use it and that helps quite a bit. If you're using a wireless mic or voice modulator, you can usually turn down the mic pickup sensitivity as well. Good luck! 1 Quote
Hesikaya[TK] Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago All good answers above. One other thing I was thinking of was, are they all running off the same power source? Usually an anker has it's own internal power supply but if your fans and voice changer are on the same circuit that could possibly introduce some electrical noise. 1 Quote
