Bud0973[TK] Posted November 8 Report Posted November 8 Hello, I am working on modifying a Centurion approved kit I purchased from a friend of mine and I have a few questions. I guess my biggest issue is the side gaps. I am a tad larger than my friend so modifying the sides has been rough. How much side gaps are allowed to centurion? What is the best way to modify those gaps without having to butcher the sides? I’m afraid I’ll do more damage than good 😆🤦🏼♂️. Hopefully the link with my images works. I cannot update my attachments due to their size. Thanks Madman https://imgur.com/a/YknU25C Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted November 8 Report Posted November 8 Abdomen Armor OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide. Any shims used to achieve this effect are of a similar material and color as the abdomen and kidney armor. Shims fit flush and seams are allowed. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there is no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top. A single visible seam line is present. 1 Quote
JBar[TK] Posted November 15 Report Posted November 15 It's a lot of work but definitely doable. I personally don't have experience with shims but this is a great tutorial: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/47793-kidney-plate-shimming-help-needed/ Quote
