Hi all,

the 501st has been an ambition of mine for as long as I can remember I have just never been in a position financially to really do anything about it untill the last few years and then as life tends to do, it got in the way. One very messy divorce later and here I am ready to finally be at my post. I'm based in Hertfordshire so any UK Garrison members in the area please reach out. Also having some trouble with the UK garrison website
https://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/501st-uk-garrison/the-501st-legion.html Doesn't seem to be working?

I am ready for a very long and arduous build process to get approval though. You see, last year was my 40th rotation around our sun and my mother the amazing person that sher is knew of my long held hopes of upholding galactic justice.  She found her was to SDS and was taken in by his claims and purchased a full set of armour from him. I was of course blown away by receiving this for my 40th and am incredibly grateful for the love and thoughtfulness behind the gift ( wish she found RS but thats another story).  Now I stand at 5'6.5 (hey the .5 is important) so adjustments will need to be made. I have already been reading on @Cricket's stunt build for the vertically challenged so I know some adjustments are due here. (my biggest concern is the kidney plate and avoiding overlap while keeping in line with the ab plate). I've also looked through @LEGOeatPokemon and @Helotech SDS build threads to see what I have in store oh and the SDS snagging list -

I am concerned most with the thigh peices, the gap between them on the inside of the front cover peice liiks potentially too big to be filled with ABS paste when i cut off that damn extra 1". anyway i'm getting off topic here and this can go into my build post to see if if the effort is worth it.

Will start a build thread soon and also a pre-approval post.

Looking forward to getting on a Troop soon!

Hi Adam,

I am UKG and also in Herts (Hemel).  So welcome to the FISD.

For the UK Garrison start here: https://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/join-us.html  Join the forum, say hello and make your way over to the armoury.  A work in progress thread is part of the clearance process and they will guide you best on getting your SDS to a point that the UKG will be happy with for clearance.

Once you're squared away there don't be a stranger, we will also be more than happy to help out here. But do listen to your UKG Armourer as ultimately they will be the one who green lights your build.

@Helotech is a great build to follow to update your SDS armor, if you check his content he has a build thread and also a pre approval thread, both have info on the SDS updates.

Good luck look forward to seeing your build thread soon

Looking forward to your build post. There is a wealth of knowledge here on how to help. The good news with all the SDS modifications is that you'll become very knowledgeable about the look of a TK after all the adjustments are made
