hesnojedi[TK] Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 Has anyone used armor white to whiten their armor? My new shoulder straps came in and my kit is more yellow than I realized. Thanks Quote

JBar[TK] Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 I haven't trooped long enough to know from experience but from I've been told armor white is great but it strips the UV protecting features on ABS (which will naturally yellow over time regardless) and therefor your armor will re-yellow again faster. This is ok but just keep that in mind Quote
TheRascalKing[TK] Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 Who is the maker of the shoulder bridges and who is the maker of your kit? Usually you would want to purchase any armor pieces from the same manufacturer to help ensure the color matches closely. Some makers are known to use ABS that is a certain shade of white that more closely matches others so that info would help us advise. Trying to match your suit to your bridges sounds like an exercise in futility and as above, I don't recommend starting to whiten your kit until it's pretty darn yellow - once you start, it yellows again faster. 1 Quote
