TK32945 Waynocerous[501st] Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 Hi, I’m no stranger to FISD having had my TK cleared at Centurion level and the kit being the Stunt CRL model. However, the kit was then converted to a Sandtrooper and I retired the TK. I’m here again now as I have just bought an FOTK from another member and will be submitting it for consideration for clearance once I have got it and made any tweaks required. It is currently 501st cleared with the UK Garrison but I’m fully aware that clearing it for myself will depend on how it fits me. I will probably need to swap the boots out as they are a size 9 and I am an 8, but other than that, everything else should be good to go. Am I in the right place to post initial photos when I have collected the kit and had chance to try it on? Or is there another area on the boards that I need to start my WIP? many thanks, Wayne Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 Hello and welcome back you are more than welcome to post photos here, it's a great way to get feedback and find any issues you have before applying to your GML, it is however not mandatory to do so. You can also receive feedback for higher level approval and entirely up to you if you wish to do so. Same images you would send to your GML, front, side, back, side, action and helmet off. Quote
TK32945 Waynocerous[501st] Posted August 25 Author Report Posted August 25 Thanks for the welcome back! I’ll sort the pics as soon as I can. In the meantime, can you tell me where I can find details for the torch and leds for the blasters please? The ones that are included with the kit don’t have them and I’d like to add them. cheers Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 Lots of different ways to add electronics, I used LED's, red acrylic and electronics from a toy blaster Some build threads, more can be found here Chris has added some electronics in his blaster Quote
TK32945 Waynocerous[501st] Posted September 8 Author Report Posted September 8 Thanks for these Glen! I picked the kit up this morning and it’s very apparent It’s going to need quite a bit of work doing to get it up to standard…including a repaint once the fitting is sorted. As such, it could be a while before I can get any pics together. I’ll keep you updated with any progress. cheers 1 Quote
TK32945 Waynocerous[501st] Posted October 7 Author Report Posted October 7 Ok, so I’ve managed to take some photos of the individual bits of armour for someone to cast an eye over to check everything looks as it should. I can send any more that might be required.I can’t try it on yet as it needs all the strapping redoing and I’ve only just managed to regain access to the forums due to having to register a new email address.I’ve now had chance do do a bit of research into how this kit is put together. I’ve also managed to source a pair of boots. My plan is to check everything is in order, then strap it and get it fitted. Once that’s done and the fit is approved, I’ll get it repainted. TK32945 Waynocerous[501st] Posted October 11 Author Report Posted October 11 Cheers! Didn’t think I’d be back to the shiny white after clearing my Sandie, yet here I am! Hoping to get started with strapping the shoulder bells this weekend. I gather I need to use webbing for the connections rather than elastic? I’m also planning to use an abs overlap with Velcro fastening for the ab/torso and 2”straps over my shoulders. Again, would webbing be better than elastic? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
TK32945 Waynocerous[501st] Posted October 12 Author Report Posted October 12 I’ve made a start on making snaps and done the straps for the shoulder bells. I have a heat gone coming tomorrow to manipulate the shoulder part of the yoke as it appears one side is higher than the other! Are there any diagrams showing positions for the holes the shoulder straps go through? Is there a generic strapping diagram for this kit like there is for the OTTK?I’ll probably also need to put a little more curve into the edges of this and the chest plate as it looks like they’ve been flattened slightly due to being stored in a suitcase. The previous owner added the resin block behind the chest vent but never sanded it down to expose the vent. It was just painted black! I’ve Dremelled this out. Do I need to back it with anything? The cod is also firmly fixed, shouldn’t this be attached with straps? It doesn’t look like it’s lined up in the middle either. The boxes on the bottom of the ab haven’t been attached perfectly flush either.I have attached a few pics to show the above along with the seams where the various pieces have been joined just so you can let me know if they are acceptable or not. They aren’t that well done and are noticeable.I’m beginning to think it may have been a better option to have bought a new kit! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Tony's build is full of information Instructions Anovos and DN https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/56156-anovos-denuo-novo-instructions/ Gallery area may also help https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/category/32-specific-parts/ The previous owner added the resin block behind the chest vent but never sanded it down to expose the vent. It was just painted black! I’ve Dremelled this out. Do I need to back it with anything? You can dremel it out or paint or add material on the back, more info in this thread The cod is also firmly fixed, shouldn’t this be attached with straps? It doesn’t look like it’s lined up in the middle either. Should be centered The boxes on the bottom of the ab haven’t been attached perfectly flush either. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The boxes should sit against the abdominal plate with minimal to no gaps. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): The seams between the abdominal armor and the 7 boxes should not be filled. Quote
