Hi all,

Hopefully I’ve come to the right area for this.

So, I’m about to fulfil my ambition of having a costume from each episode of the original trilogy by getting a commission build Scout trooper with RS. I’ve decided to go with a commission as my TK build took a long time and I don’t want to take on the helmet as it looks quite tricky. Decision made in that 👍

All that said, I do have some questions:

  1. Looking at the CRL, it appears that L2 is the highest level achievable. Is this correct?
  2. To achieve L2, are there any common approval issues about the RS Scout commission build I should be aware of?

The guys at RS are super helpful and I’m lucky they’re relatively on my doorstep that I can visit in person. I’m sure if there were any elements of my build that I needed in a specific way, they would accommodate as much as possible.

Ultimately, I want to try and achieve basic approval as smoothly as I possible can and reduce the number of adjustments needed for the higher levels if I choose to pursue these.

Thanks all,

Tim

Sounds like you have things well in hand.

I would suggest asking over at pathfinders as they will have the latest information https://www.501stpathfinders.com

L2 Lancer is the only higher level pathfinders does for the scout

L2 is the highest for Scout yes. RS kits in the past used elastic on their belt straps which are is not correct. I dont know if that is still the case.

My Lancer build using RS is over on the PFD forum. I note the issues that need to be addressed with the armor. It’s close to L2 spec but not exact. The fixes were fairly easy.

Note, if you’re going with a full commission, the boots will not pass for L2 and modifying them risks damaging the boot.

Hop over to PFD and we’ll get you sorted.
