SwedishTX Posted October 20 Author Report Posted October 20 (edited) yeah nothing serious but i have a question about the gold details, everything have to be "same" gold? like the face have a darker tone of gold and cracks has a brighter, it must have same? Edited October 20 by SwedishTX Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted October 20 Report Posted October 20 I think it could be due the amount of gold on the faceplate, compared to the small amount in the cracks. Also the weathering can change how the light catches and reflects it. A combination of gold leaf and paint was used to fix up areas due to wear or damage on the Night Troopers, I would wager the same happened with Enoch in some areas. We believe it is probably supposed to look the same. 1 Quote
SwedishTX Posted November 5 Author Report Posted November 5 Hello there! done some work on Enoch and i have forgot to update here :S only thing i have problem with when i glue golden leaf is there is brush strokes, even when i use a sponge ( see shoulder ) any suggestions for something better ? 1 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted November 5 Report Posted November 5 Depends how you applied the glue too, I was thinking of using a spray glue so there is a flat base and then a very soft round brush to dab the surface and not brush, perhaps a makeup brush. 1 Quote

SwedishTX Posted Tuesday at 06:43 PM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 06:43 PM question time! Best way to secure and lock shin armor, is it elastic straps and velcro? I cant glue them together 😅 Question nr 2. shoulder straps. Does it have to be ABS plastic or is it ok to cast them in rubber/silicone? Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted Tuesday at 09:15 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 09:15 PM You could add elastic across the front so they can still open/close. On the rear something similar to standard TK's perhaps 1 Quote

Just put velcro under the strip and some velcro on the strip you added! Do you think that could work? Quote

Would this work? I drew it like it's seen from above Plate Velcro strip Direction The blue arrow would indicate that it could go flush with the left side! Some velcro strip on the backside of the printed seam on the left (which it looks like you have already?) If you are able to bend it a bit it should be able to close up! If you don't want to have a strip going all the way along the right side then maybe a small portion in the top and one in the bottom (where it is the most bendable) 1 Quote
SwedishTX Posted 4 hours ago Author Report Posted 4 hours ago Update! Me and Nairy had a chat yesterday on messenger about the locking mechanism and we came up with a solution. Take a plastic strip about 50 mm wide and and 200mm long, glue one half on the armor and put velcro on the other half and tadaaa! i hope this help someone else who have same problem Thanks Nairy Put them on for a test and they fit like a glove! and i started to print Thigh armor yesterday and i´m out of filament now. Size feels right but i must wait and see when the back side is complete 2 Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Looks like a good fit, but would be nice to see a photo with a bit more context. Good work. 2 Quote
