gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted May 15 Report Posted May 15 Looking good trooper, before the DO's start your review you may want to remove a little of the pain on the gums: For Basic approval and above, Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area. Eight total teeth on the frown are cut out. You will need to remove a bit more material from the front of your forearms, comparison 1 Quote

ronhoffman2[TK] Posted May 16 Author Report Posted May 16 Almost there trooper. just need to remove a little bit more paint from the teeth and the material from the wrist . I haven’t done anything with the helmet yet. I’ll try that this evening. As far as the wrists go, I didn’t realize that it really ALL has to go away. I will also do that today. ronhoffman2[TK] Posted May 16 Author Report Posted May 16 Took the Dremel with the sanding drum to it this time. I can’t take anymore off without messing with the integrity of the plastic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 2 Quote

gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted May 21 Report Posted May 21 Looks like your body photos in the first post are no longer showing. Quote
ronhoffman2[TK] Posted May 22 Author Report Posted May 22 Looks like your body photos in the first post are no longer showing.I didn’t post those yet. Still need to take them. Unless I can dig up my original approval pics, I was going to take new ones. And a security guard broke off my front blaster sight at the hospital troop, so I’m waiting for new parts to come in to repair it and take pics. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1 Quote

TKSpartan[Staff] Posted May 24 Report Posted May 24 Hi Ron, I'll be making your review and need you to make me a favor brother, just a five minutes painting session for your ab buttons plates. As you can see bellow , the paint is a little off in some parts and will need to be rounded a bit. a sharp tool or cotton swab with some non acetone pint thinner could do the job. thank you . 1 Quote

ronhoffman2[TK] Posted June 30 Author Report Posted June 30 All photos uploaded. Please note that I realized by belt was not snapped properly, so I fixed and retook the front photo and action photo, however I did not realize to retake the left or right side shots until I was editing the photos to upload. Hopefully you can look past this, otherwise I will suit up again. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote

TKSpartan[Staff] Posted July 17 Report Posted July 17 Hi Ron, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Great work with your armor trooper, now let see just some details you may want to take into account to improve the overall look and accuracy sir. Lets start from top: Ideally, the ear screws should go aligned with the rear edge of the Traps so we strongly suggest to move them. Reference Images The paint on your vocoder looks pretty good, but it should be more symmetrical with more definition on the tops of the raised ridges. This is not a higher level requirement but , again, we encourage to make the fix. Reference images This looks just like a dressing issue, your inner black clothes are sticking out in the shoulder bells area. Consider this for every troop you put on your armor. Reference Images Another dressing issue and easy fix to take note. remember to align the calver closures to keep the great look even from behind. Reference Images This is all in the suggestions section *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. CRL L3: Ear screws shall be slotted, flat topped, countersunk and painted white. According to the CRL , the upper screws are correct but, you will need to replace the lower ones for "V" head type . Reference Images CRL L3: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates. This looks like a simple strapping issue. shortening the shoulder strap and a bit could reduce the gap. Reference Images You did a great job on those fixes, Trooper, but to achieve the best look and finish, a sanding session will be necessary. Reference Images CRL L3: The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels. In looking at the reference images below, we are asking that you raise it a little to at least cover more of the bottom of the ab-button plate(s). Ideally it should touch (or even overlap a bit) the bottom button(s). Reference Images CRL L3: Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. This is a common issue and an easy one to fix. As you can see the right one is ok, Moving the left one outward and then applying a dab of E-6000 on the rear of the strap will take care of this and keep it from wandering. Reference Images And that's all Trooper. Welcome to EIB ranks and we are sure your next step will be to the rank of Centurion. Well done. Don't forget to request your EIB certificate HERE and check the EIB Rockers HERE Quote
