bigtrev503 Posted October 10, 2023 Report Posted October 10, 2023 I have a pair of TK boots and I don't like how wide they are at the top. They don't fit under my shin armor. Instead of getting the white leather boots most folks get, I'd rather get a pair of black Chelsea boots and paint them. I did look them up and there were quite a lot. Is there a favorite in the community for this purpose? Thank you all so much in advance! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted October 10, 2023 Report Posted October 10, 2023 You would have to make sure they have the similar sides/elastic area, height and width as well as curve at the bottom and are high enough, a lot of boots are too short and come out under the shins. Also need a flat sole not ridged with a conservative heel References Quote
TikiTechie[TK] Posted October 10, 2023 Report Posted October 10, 2023 Have you looked at KeepTrooping for TK boots? Those hug the calf really well. I tried the DIY route first and the boots I found on Amazon were too short and would not stay in the shin armor. Ended up spending plenty on paint and wasted time. KT boots did not have that problem. 1 Quote
