GalacticWolf290 Posted June 26, 2023 Report Posted June 26, 2023 (edited) "Hello there", I am looking for sellers within the EUA (european economic area) because I want to avoid large import costs. Possibly to look before buying, but that is optional. I live in the Netherlands. I've already looked at 'Where, What and Whom To Avoid When Buying' and 'The various types of armor and where to find them'. Besides that, I've been scouring the forums for several hours. I have quite a list of sellers, but no (vetted) EU sellers. Does anyone have any recommendations for any sort of TK Stormtrooper armor? The only one I know is "DA Props." Found through hearsay from a 501 member, but not on the forum. (this one is in france) Below is my list of found results: WTF: Walt's Trooper Factory | Facebook (VETTED) https://www.facebook.com/groups/612005498911674/ CA - AP | Authentic Props | Facebook / Etsy (VETTED) https://www.facebook.com/Authenticprops UK - RWA Creations | Facebook (VETTED) https://www.facebook.com/groups/rwacreations UK - RS PropMasters (VETTED) https://www.rspropmasters.com/ ATA | Facebook (VETTED) https://www.facebook.com/ATA.Armor/ FR - DA Props | Facebook / Etsy https://www.facebook.com/theshedofglitteringdelights CfO - Cast from Original | Facebook https://www.facebook.com/castfromoriginal/?ref=hl USA - Galactic Armory (questionable) https://galacticarmory.net/collections/helmets-and-armor?page=14 USA - Imperial Surplus https://imperialsurplus.com/ DE - Ironmotion (suggested by someone from the forum) https://ironmotion.de/PROPS UK - SDS (Shepperton Design Studios) (suggested by someone from the forum) http://www.originalstormtrooper.com To NOT use: ANOVOS (defunct) TM | Troopermaster (recast) Edited August 25, 2023 by GalacticWolf290 Addition to list #2 1 Quote
Sn4k3 Posted June 26, 2023 Report Posted June 26, 2023 That is a good list, everything recommended here, will be accepted by the legionIn regards to what, specifically, are you looking recomendations?Sent from my GM1900 using Tapatalk Quote
Troopacoola[TK] Posted June 26, 2023 Report Posted June 26, 2023 DA props are well known in the UK, before he relocated to France. Have a look on facebook for his page "the shed of glittering delights"Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk 1 Quote

TheRascalKing[TK] Posted June 27, 2023 Report Posted June 27, 2023 Galactic Armory is not a recommended seller for anything Stormtrooper related. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any other EU vendors - the closest you'll probably get is the UK otherwise. DA is on the board with at least 10 EIB approved suits, so I'd consider them quality though I don't have personal experience. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted June 27, 2023 Report Posted June 27, 2023 ATA on Facebook is currently unavailable, we are waiting on an update as the molds for this were sold at auction after the sad passing of the owner. Imperial surplus are currently delayed in orders due to family emergency until further notice. DA will be your best for EU currently, otherwise as suggested the UK has several makers also including RWA which many are very happy with. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1865574590327448 Galactic Armory tends to be a 3D file creator, selling his files across many newer costumes and weapons. Currently we have them on a vendor list for the Imperial commando only. Quote

Sent from my GM1900 using Tapatalk It's not on the FISD recommended sellers list. Unless you look at the German list. He's a very common vendor for German TKs and many in the Garrison have his armor approved. Not sure about L2 or L3 approvals in this armor, I don't know of any applications. As you can see, the armor has very sharp details, so you have to know if that's your type of armor. If you live nearby he does commissions and can also be found at various conventions in southern Germany showing off his work. Otherwise you can order the kit online here. Personal opinions? It's not one of my favorite armors out there, the lines are too sharp for my tastes and make the armor look off. It works very well for his Shadowtrooper, but not as much for his Stormtrooper. However, at least in Germany this will be an easy road to approval and possibly a bit cheaper than armors from the UK. 2 Quote
TheRascalKing[TK] Posted June 27, 2023 Report Posted June 27, 2023 (edited) Good find - I show two troopers from Switzerland who have been L2 approved, but none at Centurion with IronMotion armor. I wouldn't put too much stock in this stat, but it is usually telling that the better vendors often have more folks reach these levels with their armor... I agree that the IronMotion sculpt looks a bitttt off tho and would personally go with DA over them, and any of the UK vendors over that. If it helps to know where other troopers in the Netherlands have gotten their armor (looks like DA or all UK, but I would ask your local unit leadership as well for advice): I of course only have access to the L2/L3 data, not suits approved at Basic, but that info may help! Sn4k3 Posted June 27, 2023 Report Posted June 27, 2023 I think the l2/l3 info if a great value, maybe more than the basic approvalSent from my GM1900 using Tapatalk Quote

Yes, is sharper and it looks somewhat off next to another armor from a different manofacturer, i would take it IF the price is right, a few euro less won't cut it for meSent from my GM1900 using Tapatalk 2 Quote

Sent from my GM1900 using Tapatalk I don't own it but I've trooper with DA troopers more than once, it's more common for TIE, or it was before he moved to France. It's got it's features and tells like any armour but it's a solid mid pack pick. It was always more popular with non legion troopers for some reason I never worked out. Quote
