Where to mount a Voicebooster amp in a TK

Hello!  I have a voicebooster MR 1506 which I am trying to figure out the ideal placement for.  Where do others mount theirs?  Inside the chest plate?  I havent tried it inside the armor yet but at that height on my chest there is definitely squawking and interference from the mic and amp being so close together.  Does the armor help alleviate that?  The only other location I can think of is maybe against the small of my back facing the kidney plate.

 

The holster seems like an obvious idea as well, but I assume that isn't allowed?

Many attach to the inside of the chest. Depending on volume you can get some feedback, generally it's fine.

FWIW I was able to put the Aker amp in my chest with plenty of room.  I don't even notice it there.  I also could put in the icomm right beside it.  Bart

I also have mine mounted in the chest, in one of the peck sections.  It's held on with 2 small strips of velcro, never had an issue with it coming loose.
