Nice work trooper, good luck with approval

Before we can start your review , we need you to make a couple of fixes to your armor:

1-   As per the CRL for L2: "Clips shall be attached with slotted type, flat or dome top style screws, and be black (two per clip).
V head screws are not permitted."

Your looks to be V head screws and you will need to change them.

                                                                                                                           References

wiAcg8n.jpg                         I2yjVji.png?1                          fzPNp2m.jpg

2- CRL L2: " Thigh ammo belt is attached to thigh with a solid head rivet, painted white, in the upper corner and fastened to the lower thigh ridge.
The rivets used shall be single cap, double cap or split rivets. No pop rivets allowed.
Rivet should be approximately 5/16" (8mm) in diameter (exterior).

It looks like yours are " Chicago Screw "  and will need to change to the Double or single cap ones.

                                                                                                                                                                     References

Hi Tiffany, and thank you for your EIB application!

CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry.  Congratulations!  :salute:

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly;

In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team.  Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that  we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions.

Starting from top.

Your helmet seems to be riding a little high. Perhaps you have too much padding on the top. You could remove a little  so the helmet will lower a little and get a better look.

                                                                                                                                            Reference Images

XPFSBqJ.jpg                                       iu7Ibyv.jpg?1

Next is a very common issue. The screws on the ears should ideally align with the rear angle of the trap above them, and the bottom should angle back a little bit more.  The left one looks great and the right one could be improved a little.

                                                                                                                                                 Reference Images

YzBAssy.jpg   1fbFWr7.jpg                                      FDsOq1x.jpg     NAXQRNf.jpg

The ends of the brow trim could use some trimming to look more screen accurate.

                                                                                                                                                                    Reference Images

xFxN3jS.jpg  fH7KZwO.jpg             nUNgoqp.jpg  XrQn07T.jpg  PWRuwha.jpg

Your chest plate looks to be little raised on the left side, probably just a matter of a starpping adjustment. Esay fix!

                                                                                                                                   Refrerence  Images

ypDvbZc.jpg                          eGhSkrs.jpg

Just to take care every time when put on your armor.  your TD   is a little uneven due to the right clip is not siting down  completely on the canvas belt.

                                                                                                                                                           Reference Images

                                                                                   ***************************************************

Centurion Requirements:

In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval.  Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper.

Starting from the arms section

Requirements for all 501st costumes are proportional to the wearer in scale, fit and size.

Your arms armor is very large compared to your arms size. We absolutely welcome troopers of all different body types, but we do expect that for our highest level of approval, the armor is sized appropriately to the wearer's body. In order to size down the biceps and forearms, you'd need to carefully remove the cover strips, trim back the pieces some, and re-glue them. A hot water bath may also be helpful in re-shaping the curve.

                                                                                                                                                                   Reference Images

RTlgIr4.jpg              zGgNyic.jpg?2        p0crOaD.jpg

You could try to get a better arch in your straps, perhaps  with a hot water bath. Doing this would allow them to ride closer to the back plate so they won't protrude out, and put less strain on the elastic strap.

UmloI6w.jpg   kWV6XDP.jpg      OqeCUQD.jpg?1   z4FXqB6.jpg?1

The Ab Buttons panels look quite large and a little trimming will be necessary . As you can see in the reference image the Buttons panels don't cover  the raised ridges of the Ab armor.

                                                                                                                                                 Reference Images

bHtHRXP.jpg                GwggW3U.jpg?1

CRL L3: Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate.

A possible solution for your overlapping could be 1-  to trim a little the Neck section of your Back plate to allow it to be higher 2- Bend down the Shoulder sections of the back plate to match the chest armor and shoulder bridges.

                                                                                                                                                    Reference Images

   YNk6AtN.jpg                      OOil2iE.jpg?1

                                                        J2NeoKw.jpg      OqeCUQD.jpg?1

Moving on your Han Snap.   We do allow a bit of leeway in some cases, but yours has been placed way too far from the corner.  Taking off a bit of return edge on the ab plate would look even better, and the hole will need to be filled with ABS paste.

                                                                                                                              Reference Images

jejDdgl.jpg              DgfBEzK.jpg?1          abnIOZa.jpg

CRL L3: The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt.

You may be able to get away with repositioning the cloth belt to center it and  trimming the ends of the ABS belt, as long as the cut doesn't go into the square button covers on the ends.

                                                                                                                                                                                        Reference Images

yk4nyna.jpg  lsBpiCD.jpg          kiJ8wk8.jpg   QBHFgpK.jpg

CRL L3: Hand guards shall be latex or latex-like, solid white or painted white, and affixed to rubber gloves with no visible strapping or stitching.

Yours Plastic Hand Guards will need to be replaced by the correct ones made of latex or latex like material and be glued to the gloves.

                                                                                                                                       Reference Images

vrBgSGj.jpg            cmJtdRl.jpg?1   HIeNCuD.jpg?1

CRL L3:     Lower thigh ridge joins (front and rear) shall butt-up flush against each other. Any gaps must be backed with ABS or filled as not to be noticeable.

There's a small gap in the back of your left thigh . Gluing a small piece of ABS plastic behind and filling the front with ABS paste would do the job.

This thread HERE  could be helpful

                                                                                                                                Reference images

zGq70E8.jpg            PdzZZYA.jpg     Y0jLkuR.jpg

CRL L3. T-tracks and grips shall be of a black plastic appearance with no silver/metallic weathering allowed.

Some battle damage can looks nice but as the crl states, there appears to be some weathering on the grip and T tracks of your blaster. The ammo counter looks to have some weathered lines as well. Just a coat of black paint and it' s done.

That's all Trooper. Perhaps it could looks like a lot of work ahead, but we are confident that you can do it and we here to help you to reach the next goal. CENTURION.
