Hi

First traumatic experience, constructing the FX shoulder plates, okay ready to put straps on. Is it me or does the ridge in the middle curve to one side? If I have not imagined it, is the ridge supposed to curve forwards or backwards. i'll post a picture if this is unclear.

Cheers Chris

I think you're imaging it dude

Or do you mean when you glue them onto the chest plate they should point inwards as it goes around your neck?

They do point in slightly but the lines on them are all parallel. they don't do anything special

He's talking about the shoulder bells, not the shoulder straps -- the straps he refers to are, I'm assuming, the straps that hold the bells onto the harness. I seem to remember there being a direction to the "swoop", but I'll yield to someone who knows this part more concretely than I do...

Ack! Can't find it :(

I remember a post about describing a backward swoop (slope?) of Han's shoulder bells vs. a forward slope of Luke's. Let me try and find it and I'll link it.

Not sure if thats what the OP is looking at. There is mention of the central ridge curving one way in his post.

Off to search ;)

Ah right, sorry.

Ok Luke's bells had the swoop on the left. Hans are a little different.

My shoulder bells are made Luke's way. The right hand one is straight and a different shape in my opinion to the left.

This is based on the death star scenes and scenes of TKs in the Tantive etc

The left has a capital L on it that swoops as you right it.

Look at Luke in the death star scenes
