Nairy[Staff] Posted January 14 Author Report Posted January 14 42. 2024-01-13, Örebro Universitetssjukhus (Örebro University Hospital), Örebro (Hero) The first troop of the year! First off, what a year 2023 has been! Never in a million years did I think I would do 32 troops, and it has taken its toll on the armor, with lots of cracks suddenly appearing and needing to be tended to, and with me losing weight, I have to shorten my shims and polish up some bits of the armor to keep it as pristine as possible! The yearly event where we "dance out Christmas" (directly translated to English from the Swedish phrase) together with children who either has or has survived cancer! We perform old traditional Christmassy dances as a good bye to Christmas and "plunder" the tree of ornaments! Events like this really reminds oneself of why we do this and what an incredible impact we have in peoples lives. 2 Quote
BAZINGA[TK] Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 I think we need some video of the dancing! Bart 1 Quote

Nairy[Staff] Posted February 15 Author Report Posted February 15 43. 2024-02-15, Astrid Lindgrens barnsjukhus (Astrid Lindgren's children's Hospital), Stockholm (Hero) My oh my, this is what I've always had in mind when signing up for this crazy hobby. We have just established contact with the largest hospital in Sweden and we are going to make this a reoccuring thing! We said hello at all the different parts of the hospital, and I got to play some ping pong as well! Me showing off the new merch for the lousy people who forgot to order! We always look so good in our Stormtrooper reserve gear! 6 Quote
Nairy[Staff] Posted February 18 Author Report Posted February 18 44. 2024-02-17, Swedish Air Force Museum, Linköping (Hero, with DLT-19) My dream troop! Unifying my two largest interests, flying and Star Wars! The Swedish Air Force Museum in Linköping is in my opinion the best museum in Sweden, and I've always gone there when growing up, but the last few years when travelling the 6 hours from central Sweden (Stockholm) to southern Sweden (Helsingborg) where my family lives, we haven't been able to stop by because they have been closed on the days we've travelled. Needless to say, I was very excited about this troop! I really wanted to try out the flight simulators they had there but couldn't fit in my TK, unfortunately! With me taking a private pilots license and having my first solo flight coming up, that would have been nice to do! (haven't gotten to fly all winter so I'm rusty) I did however manage to sit down for the first time ever! L4 complete! It was also my first time rocking the DLT-19 If you've ever played War Thunder and the Swedish tree, you'll recognise many of the aircraft I'm showing! Below is the only existing B18 in the world. Probably my third favorite aircraft. Quick coffee break with Anakin Skywalker In front of the imported British Vampire Looks like a real life docking bay 327 control room! The J35 Draken (my second favorite aircraft) J37 Viggen (my favorite aircraft) 4 Quote
Nairy[Staff] Posted March 2 Author Report Posted March 2 45. 2024-03-02, SciFi World 2024, Stockholm (Hero, with DLT-19) Finally time for a convention again! We've had a ton of fun today, joked around all day. At the beginning of the day I was like: "Today I'm going to be an annoying Stormtrooper", and had the best time ever! They have a super cool trench run simulator here! A good old Snowspeeder We met Joonas Suotamo (the new Chewie). Such a sweet sweet dude! Met an adorable little Vader that liked to choke out our Officers a little too much! You gotta start somewhere! 6 Quote
revlimiter[Staff] Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 TRENCH RUN SIMULATOR?!?!?! Tell me more. Does it play the vector arcade game from the 80s or something else? So jealous of the conventions with cool props. We just have tables. 1 Quote

It was a close to screen accurate 1:1 scale cockpit where you got enclosed! It had sweet graphics - an arcade feeling for sure but still most impressive! I think they also recorded the attempts so that parents that had their kids on their laps could see their reactions and stuff (there was a selfie camera that was rolling during the attempt so you could see their faces of pure joy when they exploded the Death Star ) Quote
Nairy[Staff] Posted March 4 Author Report Posted March 4 46. 2024-03-03, SciFi World 2024, Stockholm (Hero, with DLT-19) The last day of SciFi World 2024 in Stockholm! It was a success, and the Children's Cancer Fund are happy to get yet another donation! I love what we do, and how we do it, and why we do it! During these 2 days we had about 50 troopers, so about 1/4th of all troopers in Sweden! SciFi World isn't the most popular event for us by far, so that number was most impressive! This day was also my 3rd time sporting the DLT-19 and I love it! We never miss a high five! A picture with my favorite Vader and fellow TK @Coil (also Andreas, please come to the forum more often and update your troop logs! We often use pictures for our Social Media and you always take a lot of good ones! ) "Stay Classy" - The Emperor (a future TK right here) Here's me and Pontus (TK-92152), the two OG's of "Scary Looking Nerd Herders" Video proving we can hit our targets! https://i.imgur.com/Yrj50gJ.mp4 6 Quote
Nairy[Staff] Posted March 15 Author Report Posted March 15 47. 2024-03-14, Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset Huddinge (Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge), Stockholm (Hero) Then it was time for another hospital visit! These troops... always hit hard! First time wearing a mask as a TK! We had to wear them as we visited a certain section of the hospital with people getting stem cells. The crew! This adorable little one liked me the most out of everyone (I'm not surprised), and after the high five she couldn't contain her happiness so she was running away from her intravenous drip! Her father had a hard time keeping up with the rolling stand for the drip! Then we went to a play section of the hospital and played some air hockey, pool and piano! Stormtroopers are vain! Of course I wanted to take a look! That's it for this time! On to troop 48 (Star Wars in Concert, Return of the Jedi)! View more images from this troop 5 Quote

Nairy[Staff] Posted March 16 Author Report Posted March 16 Go back to: Troop 47 More images from the previous troop We signed some autographs for a sweet kid in isolation! We played pool, and I didn't want to let the Empire down, so I made sure I won! Played some guitar! Very hard with the gloves on! Always doing this thinking of you @revlimiter! The selfie master! 3 Quote

Nairy[Staff] Posted March 29 Author Report Posted March 29 48. 2024-03-29, Star Wars in Concert (Return of the Jedi), Stockholm (Hero) The Star Wars in Concert (A New Hope) is what started my Stormtrooper journey in April of 2022. Very soon after that concert experience I decided to order my kit after wanting to become a Stormtrooper for ages. This is a picture of me from that event: The orchestra honored us by after the movie was over, inviting us in to stand in front of the stage, while they played Imperial March one last time! Escorting Papa Palps The people in the orchestra was really excited to meet us too! I confiscated some Mandalorian weapons and played them like a violin to the concert music in the background The Mandalorian wanted to see if it worked or not! Argued with some rebel of course! Am I doing it right? The view from the venue is of the Stockholm City Hall, the most famous landmark of Stockholm, Sweden. It's crazy to be able to say that I've had a troop in there too! Playing rock paper scissors with the Mandalorian There is only one way to guarantee a win! That's it for this time! Now I'm going to Vietnam and Thailand for some vacation for 2 weeks! No troops until May! 7 Quote
Nairy[Staff] Posted May 2 Author Report Posted May 2 49. 2024-05-02, Miltonloppet 2024 (The Milton Race), Uppsala (Hero) Milton was a kid at a school in Uppsala, Sweden who was a big Star Wars fan. We attended during May 4th 2023 but he couldn't attend due to him being in the hospital with cancer. He passed away a few months after that and the school has arranged this race in his honor. Every kid at the school yelled "FOR MILTON!" with their fists high up in the air. Miltons mother and sister was there too, along with Miltons best friend who had gotten free time from a different school to attend this race. Milton was only 8 when he lost his battle to cancer. We really got hit by the feels at this troop, and Luyinga (the teacher who arranged this race) just got her own TK delivered at her door a few hours after the race happened today! She'll be a future member of the Scary Looking Nerd Herders (fireteam)! For obvious reasons I cannot post images of all the children, but there were around 300! Andrew (the guy that made me decide to become a TK, Luyinga and me with my floppy drop box) 3 Quote
Nairy[Staff] Posted May 3 Author Report Posted May 3 50. 2024-05-03, Comic Con 2024, Stockholm (Hero) The 50th troop!! I managed to update my status before @Sithping who also hit his 50th today!! I've had a internal competition with him since @Doggydoc hit it before me! There are no pictures just now but I'll add them as soon as I get them! 3 Quote

Nairy[Staff] Posted May 5 Author Report Posted May 5 51. 2024-05-04, Comic Con 2024, Stockholm (Hero, with Space Pack) We started the second day of Comic Con 2024 with patrolling the queues! (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) Our officer told us to stand against the wall, but how it is said in Swedish means that you can choose to interpret it like you should stand "towards" the wall! We had some fun and were intentionally making his job difficult! (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) I made a silly face at him when his back was turned to get the people in the queue some entertainment! (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) Naturally, I got what I deserved and got disciplined (all good fun in character for the crowd, the Emperor looks displeased)! (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) We got along after that! (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) Next up, it was time for us to make Natalia Tena an honorary member of the 501st Legion! (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) After that we helped out with a surprise proposal! (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) (Photo: Anna Klevebäck) Then it was time for some Space Pack up in here! All in all, day 2 was wild!!! 5 Quote
BAZINGA[TK] Posted May 6 Report Posted May 6 Congrats on 50!! When did you start full time trooping to be racking them up this fast? ;-) How can that officer be disciplining you when it would appear he is holding a... coffee? That's just not right either. :-) Bart 1 Quote
