Cupcake[TK] Posted September 14, 2022 Report Posted September 14, 2022 (edited) Name: Christine Harris Armour: Anovos Helmet: Anovos Blaster: Resin Blaster EIB thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/36821-tk-61102-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-status-anovos570/ Height: 5’10” Boots: TKboots Canvas belt: Custom Hand Plates: Silicon Electronics: N/A Neck Seal: Custom Holster: Anovos Hello, thank you for taking the time to consider my TK build for Centurion. I built this kit to Centurion level when I originally built it in 2016. Due to health issues and then the pandemic my application was delayed….I am FINALLY doing it!! I have read over the requirements and found a couple changes that have been added since 2016, which I went ahead and updated. -painted my mic tips outer edge white -glued abs backing behind the lower thigh ridges and will be adding slurry next to cover. Please note: My bucket S trim is glued so it can't be lifted easily for a photo. I posted a pic of the obvious extra ridge the S trim has but if you need a photo of the inside of the trim, let me know, I'll need to peel the glue. (above) my driveway is sloped a bit that's why I may look a tad crocked in the butt. Edited October 12, 2022 by Cupcake Added Neck Seal picture 1 Quote

MechaPumpkin[TK] Posted September 14, 2022 Report Posted September 14, 2022 This kit still lives in my living room, and it's still a nicer build than my own, hahaha Still looks great, and still fits amazing. Should be an easy pass (again)! ;) 1 Quote

Cupcake[TK] Posted September 16, 2022 Author Report Posted September 16, 2022 Oh. That also was not clear in what I was reading. I think the crl threw me off. Good news, I do have a blaster, the same one I applied for EIB with. I will add photos later today. 1 Quote

TKSpartan[Staff] Posted September 23, 2022 Report Posted September 23, 2022 Hi Christine, and sorry for delaying. Life turns a bit crazy from time to time. We are a few steps to grant your Centurion Badge, but as you may know, Centurion is the top level of accuracy and we check the applicants a bit more detailed and consider not only the Crl but the screen reference images. Bellow are some fixes we need you to do that are Centurion level requirements . CRL for Basic: Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area. This is a common issue that can be easily fixed. Carefully using a toothpick with some paint disolver (non acetone) or sharp tool like a cutter or knife point. Reference Images CRL L3: Ear screws shall be slotted, flat topped, countersunk and painted white. The ears top screws are perfect but the lower ones need to be changed to the flat topped requested in the crl. Reference Images CRL L2: Correct Aerators/Hovi-MIX tips are present. Screens used shall be of a wide type mesh, with the rim of the mic and the inside white or painted white. This is an easy fix with a few minutes of painting session. Reference Image Your small ab plate looks like having a return edge that it's not present in the screen used references. A little trimming time will be needed to solve it. Reference Images CRL L3: No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. There is a remaining little return edge. Just a little sanding job, easy and quick fix. Reference Images CRL L3: Canvas belt must be firm / sturdy in appearance. No creasing or sagging There are some creases that are quite prominent, a possible solution could be to tighten the canvas a bit and if that doesn't work a replacement will be needed. In my experience with Anovos canvas belts, I had to carefully remove the ABS belt because the square covers are glued on tightly (if the belt got damaged, I would fix it with an ABS piece behind it) and install a new one. I consider this one the toughest issue but we are confident that you can do it Trooper. We are here to help you if you need. CRL L2: Sniper knee plate must be aligned with the ridges on the shin. You did a great advance with the first fix requested in your EIB submission, but sadly, the sniper knee is still a bit lower (red lines) and should go aligned with the shin (blue lines). To fix that, It would be necessary to take it off and re-glue it higher to match the ridges correctly. Remember you can contact any of us in the DO Dpt. for assistance. 1 Quote
Nairy[Staff] Posted September 29, 2022 Report Posted September 29, 2022 Awesome armor Christine! The paint on the helmet is done in 2 minutes with a tooth pick, and removing the return edges on the arms is just 2 minutes of sanding so keep up the good work! Since you have comments about the sniper knee, I thought I'd share my experience with removing and reattaching it: I had to remove my sniper knee (didn't get a comment on it but saw the angle was too off), and did so by carefully cutting it away with an exacto knife, with this attatchment: It took about 2 hours to just sit with lit candles in the couch and carefully cutting away from myself (almost had my fingers done for a few times near the end when I became impatient) When gluing it back on, I had serious issues with what I was trying. I was trying to glue the edges but with the new knee position I had to squeeze it towards the shin too much so the glue didn't have enough surface to grab on to, and because of the awkward position my hands just couldn't squeeze it for long enough for the glue to do its job. Once I scratched my head a little bit my solution (that I wish I had done from the beginning) was just gluing on this part first, and then the other parts ...as it most likely doesnt have any glue on it from before, and there is a lot of nice surface here Also don't be afraid of a little gap (we've seen many gaps here in the movie)! Cupcake[TK] Posted September 29, 2022 Author Report Posted September 29, 2022 Thank you for the feedback and advice. I've looked over the list of changes required and they all seem doable. I'm very busy with work right now so it may take a couple of weeks. Stay tuned! 3 Quote

Cupcake[TK] Posted October 8, 2022 Author Report Posted October 8, 2022 (edited) Hello! I've completed the changes you requested. Teeth: I used paint remover and pushed back the paint on the teeth. Ear Screws: Replaced with flat slot-head screws. I needed to lift the glued s trim to change the screws. When I get the ok on them I'll glue the trim back down. Mic tips: Painted inside of mic tips entirely white. Ab button plate: Removed, trimmed and re-glued rectangular ab button plate. Forearm opening: Trimmed off remaining return edge from hand opening on both forearms. Belt: Starched and Ironed belt. Re-took photos with belt on tighter. As you mentioned, I think it was just on a bit loose before. Knee: Removed and re-glued sniper plate higher; now it follows the ridge line. Edited October 8, 2022 by Cupcake 4 Quote

TKSpartan[Staff] Posted October 12, 2022 Report Posted October 12, 2022 Hi Christine, and thank you for your CENTURION application! CRL and CENTURION Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of CENTURION . Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Great work with the fixes Christine !! We have some suggestions that you could do to get the best looking from screen . Ideally, the ear screws should go aligned with the rear edge of the Traps so we strongly suggest to move them. Reference Images The paint on your vocoder looks pretty good, but it should be more symmetrical with more definition on the tops of the raised ridges. Easy fix!! Reference Images Looking at the Thermal Detonator. Even thought it is not mentioned in the CRL, and for more accuracy , the Thermal detonator's screws should go near the end. Reference Images Moving down, we noted that your lower back armor section is riding too close to the thighs , we suggest to lower them a little to avoid some armor bite and tighten the straps on the hips a little as well. Reference Images Finally , an easy fix here Christine. A five minutes trimming session to give a more accurate shape to the snipper knee . Reference images Congratulations once again and welcome to Centurion Ranks Trooper !! You can request your certificate HERE 2 Quote
