gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 22, 2022 Report Posted June 22, 2022 This is entirely up to your GML (garrison membership liaison) some are stricter than others, they should be fine for basic approval but will not meet the higher levels. Nothing mentioned about the stitching until L2 Boots Boots are above ankle height and made of white leather or leather-like material. Small U-shaped elastic sections on both sides of the ankle. Flat sole with a short heel. No buckles or laces. Jodhpur/ Chelsea-type boots or an equivalent style is acceptable. Elvis or Mariachi boots are not allowed. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): There is no seam present on the front of the boot. Boots have a black sole 1 Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted June 23, 2022 Report Posted June 23, 2022 Hi trooper,If you have an option to return or exchange them, you can certainly find better, more suitable boots as the originals did not have the stitching on the front. However, as Glen said, they will probably be okay at basic (check with your GML). My concern would be the size of the opening. It looks like it is very large and this might make it difficult to get a good fit for the shins. 1 Quote

I've been trooping in IB boots for 7 years and no issues. The only thing I would suggest is to order a half or full size larger than you normally wear as they run a bit small. 2 Quote
