Ok , lower abdomen section, again work in progress here, center button pad looks ok. Not happy with the way the four on the right are sitting and the paint needs re-doing as well. Snaps are glued in place and ready. Small details here and think this will be ready soon

Ok, butt plate is trimmed and snaps have been glued in place. Snaps in the groin area are correct per level 3.

The elastic should be further down on the shoulder bells

You can remove more of the return edge from the middle raised section (and elsewhere if you want), will help sit down on your biceps better.

Normally when trimming any front facing armor the front/raised ridges are measured to fit a standard cover strip (@15mm) so from the raised area you would trim @8mm from the edge, notice you have large gaps between your cover strips and the raised areas, any sizing you would do from the back/rear side. Compare with mine

Note the raised ridges and coverstrips on build I did

Appears you have trimmed too much off your large ab plate, should have the base/plate around it.

Mine did not come with a base on it. It was a recessed square

You may need to add one. WALT may have overt rimmed unfortunately

Some who have needed to fix there's cut a large plate and glue to the large ab, then fill the join with abs paste, then sand and polish

This one was filled with blade putty (automotive finefill putty)

It may not get picked for basic approval but will come up at L2 and L3

You could reach out to your GML and see if it can be approved how it is

Thank you for that idea. I like this idea a lot

Forgot to mention the only down side to using a filler (especially different color) is the fact that you need to paint at the end, even ABS paste can need a touch up as once dry and sanded it can look a different shade of white. For any touch up's I like to use water based acrylics, it's very easy to mix and add a touch of brown, black or yellow to white (depending on the color of plastic) to achieve a close to color match with your armor color.

Worked on my TK again today and this post is simply to update the tread and keep a log of progress made toward becoming a TK

Started on the legs this weekend. Only trimmed enough to start the inside cover strips. Will wait for e6000 to dry totally before proceeding

Started trimming lower shins. Not glued yet. Need to measure more before I cut and glue.

Your shoulder strapping looks a little wide, just make sure the shoulder straps cover it

Guards / straps have been heated and molded but not yet glued in place because I want to sew my Han Solo snap in place first

Check again once you are wearing your arms as the shoulder bells can pull this elastic sideways and will show if too wide ;)
