How much weight do I need to lose to fit in AP/TE2/TM? =)

Recommended Posts

I'm just a hair under 6'0" and currently about 190-195 lbs. Not terribly overweight, but not the slim runner's build I used to be. Would I have many concerns trying to fit into any of these 3 armors? A little soft in the mid-section and I probably have slightly larger than average thighs and calves.

I'm a former triathlete, and I do plan on trying to get back in the pool and on the bike soon -- that should help. Thoughts?

Thanks!

C

I do have to use FX arms, the Ap were just way too small.

Are you talking about the Biceps or the forearms. If its the biceps that should be an easy shim. If its the forearms, I'd prolly stick with the FX pieces.

Both. I had 3 inch shims on both side of the biceps and they still didn't fit. The Fx had a little more space. I need about 17".

I think you'd fit just fine. The TM forearms are quite big. I don't have to put velcro on them at all - hand just slips in and out easily. Biceps seem reasonably generous too, certainly at least as generous as FX.

Go for TM -- you won't regret it. Fabulous stuff.

You should be fine. I'm 6'0" too and 180 lbs and I actually had to trim my TE2 on the sides of the ab/kidney. You may not have to do any shimming at all and still be able to close the side gaps. Even when I binge and go up to 185 I can still fit w/o any issue.

TM is nice but very pricey given the exchange rate compared to TE2 or AP. You may have to shim one of the calves (left) as well.
