@equuspolo said on FB this morning that that HWT pack was his, and apparently he's going to share his specs with the forum at some point. Wish I was a stuntman in Cali. Now who here is going to add red lights to their pack? Haha. Heck, my pack isn't done yet...

So did 501st members borrow TK armor and parts to stunt guys or are some actual stunt members?

Ardeshir (equuspolo) is a film industry stuntman who also happens to be a member of the 501st, and a very cool guy and asset to this community. This is publically-available and LFL-approved knowledge: recently he has been in Kenobi as a stormtrooper donning the RO-style kits, as well as one of the first live-action clones seen on screen. His own joke is that he's perhaps the only 501st member to have actually executed Order 66 in (semi) real life. :laugh1:

Pay attention but a deployed stock E-11 is now canon....

This is were a bigger conversation will have to be had, we saw all different 501st approved armor in the first Mandalorian series, FX/GF, AM, ATA, AP the list goes on, to date none have been included into a separate CRL, we know they are 501st members and although on screen these were considered "extras" if you look through many of the scenes in Mando and Obi it is rare you see "main character" placement, these are more in the background. Like I say this will no doubt lead to a discussion at some stage so we'll see what our DL @Sly11 thinks.

Just to add we have seen many of the TK versions in these shows appear later down the track as a 6" or 3.75" figure, don't think they will make a black series figure for "extra" TK's, but then I could be wrong

Yep, I’d agree.

Personally, I think it’s a dangerous avenue to pursue. With the greatest will in the world, not all 501st costumes are accurate compared with what they are intended to replicate. And, the 501st members featured in the Mandalorian and Obi-Wan are essentially fan interpretations of OT Stormtroopers. Personally, I’d rather aim to replicate the actually original trilogy stormtroopers (because you cannot get better than the actual source material) than another members’ interpretation.

Of course, it makes sense to have CRLs for the studio produced costumes because they are studio made and appear to be very, very consistent in terms of build and finish (weathering). They are not copies of OT TKs.

As with any costume we need to see more screen references, there could be more to go in the last episode being over 90 minutes, who knows, but it's hard to make a CRL or adjustments with only partial images. Even having someone who has worked or supplied props on set doesn't give us the screen references like we normally would need in the past, sure at times Hot Toys and Black Series figures have also been used but these are a secondary reference.

I assume the Purge trooper goes to SpecOps though.

I would assume so, lots of Clone parts there too, so far from our purview.

In the wide shot where Kenobi is on his knees, Third Sister in in front of him and all the troopers are aimed at him, on the left group back right, the stock is deployed in that scene as well.

That pack belongs to that stunt guy 501st member, he made it himself privately, or was it for the prop department?

Can't really speak about it as there are NDA restrictions, information will be coming in due course ;)

Some bits of info is seeping out, well clones anyway ;)

Hayden Christensen with members of the 501st Legion while filming the Jedi Temple flashback scene for the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Now do they mean the actual members of the 501st Legion or actors wearing 501st legion style costumes

Appears this confirms it was actors, middle back has been in other costumes

And on the red carpet

I think the writer is confused and doesn't know the facts. The only 501st member was there in his professional stunt capacity. They're all stunt actors in that shot aside from Hayden.
