Parquette[TK] Posted June 2, 2022 Author Report Posted June 2, 2022 (edited) Aye, was looking at various other screenshots and all their abdomens are exactly the same way. Not to mention their holsters, and their e-11's no longer possessing flashlights now make this a unique variant of the Anthology TK. Edited June 2, 2022 by Parquette Quote

The window square button isn't blue, from everything I've seen it appears a dark green like the helmet lens.) There was a conversation quite some time ago about the top rectangle window and the blue in the CRL was wrong, it was decided it was grey but I don't know how much further the discussion went or if the CRL was updated 1 Quote
Parquette[TK] Posted June 2, 2022 Author Report Posted June 2, 2022 (edited) Holster shots (all photos below from Jim Hall). As a side note, I'm liking the weathering direction they're going with these. Blaster without flashlight. Looking at the rail it reminds me of the Hyperfirm blasters. Side note: Weathering variances above and below. Notice below the black weather scuffs all over the raised sections of the chest and shoulder bell. Edited June 2, 2022 by Parquette 1 Quote
revlimiter[Staff] Posted June 2, 2022 Report Posted June 2, 2022 Look at the sight guard on those. And the folding stock area around the grip. Both are quite solid. Definitely rubber E-11s. 1 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 2, 2022 Report Posted June 2, 2022 Nice forearm gap trooper on right Added some screen caps to the Obi-Wan gallery area 4 Quote

Interesting take on the armor, wonder if maneuverability was the main reason for the change. They are connected or should I say they have been in past New Era TK's With how they are attached it allows he shoulder bell to come open quite a bit as there is no loop of elastic which we see on OTTK's. I don't know if it was for more movement could just have been the way they tackled how to connect them, but it does streamline the look with no external elastic loop like OTTK's. "In these images we can see Velcro in various places as well as some sort of plastic hook lines connecting the shoulder bells to the biceps." Great thread here on comparison between the OT and R1 TK's 1 Quote

So what're you, like a career TK extra? I think every time there's more TK's in these shows, you have more info? I'll give you some death sticks to inform us 1 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 3, 2022 Report Posted June 3, 2022 A nice image from Disney, very dirty boys Funny that even without the torches they also don't have the picatinny rail, which is the opposite for what was done for the First Order troopers in TLJ and TROS, their weapons didn't have torches either but still had the picatinny rail. I'd say it's these troopers 1 Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted June 3, 2022 Report Posted June 3, 2022 Looks like we are going to have a clean and a weathered version CRL to build/update 1 Quote
Parquette[TK] Posted June 3, 2022 Author Report Posted June 3, 2022 Another side note: The ribbed section of the undersuit has extended to the thighs, versus just the knee gaskets and ribbed shirt of the R1TK. Quote

Well, if I must I must. On 6/2/2022 at 3:32 PM, Parquette said: Holster shots (all photos below from Jim Hall). As a side note, I'm liking the weathering direction they're going with these. As far as I could tell, the holsters were simply ESB-style E-11 holsters, but additional details are always appreciated. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 12, 2022 Report Posted June 12, 2022 There is no CRL for this as yet, as the show is still underway other references may become available with other details not consistent to other versions. No doubt there will be a discussion as to if this version/'s (clean / dirty) will be it's own CRL or additional variants of the R1 CRL. Unfortunately Facebook links only work for some time and become inactive, hence why we suggest using a free hosting service for posting images. Here are a couple of shots added to our gallery sections 3 Quote
gwf2683 Posted June 13, 2022 Report Posted June 13, 2022 (edited) Got some screen grabs from Episode 4 of the Obi Wan series, also with holsters and no flashlight on the E-11's. I sure hope this becomes an approvable variant. I am not a big fan of the flashlights on the E-11's Edited June 13, 2022 by gwf2683 2 Quote
Morgi[Staff] Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 Moving away from the new TKs... Whilst watching the newest episode, I caught what looked like ANH TKs with ESB holsters. Due to me not having access to high resolution, I first played it off. Then I paused the movie and looked more thoroughly. ANH brow trims, shoulder bells (with elastics), broader TDs and a few other details became noticeable. Therefore I took a closer look at the credits and found a "thank you" to the 501st Legion, California Garrisons. Anyone want to share with the class? 3 Quote
revlimiter[Staff] Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 I too noticed quite a few ANH-TK in episode 5. Cloth belts, no raised TD-holding panel in the mid back, no side stripe. Very cool. Someone spill some beans! 2 Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 Yep - definitely ANH TKs. Great to see “proper” TKs on the big screen. (92” at home - they looked great!!) Quote

Quakecry[501st] Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 Was that 501st extras in that scene with a dozen stormtroopers? The ones not doing the stunts. Quote
Jakebullet[TK] Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 I'm in love with those purge troopers, always loved black and red colour scheme. Haven't even done my first troop yet and already considering another costume! Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 Yes very easy to pick out from the back shots, detonator and shoulder straps an easy give away. I think we all may know who was there but can not talk about it due to NDA's 1 Quote
Parquette[TK] Posted June 16, 2022 Author Report Posted June 16, 2022 Still waiting for screenshots of said 501st scene... Quote
