Heideho Posted October 27, 2021 Report Posted October 27, 2021 Hello! My name is Heide and I have been procrastinating trimming and reassembling some Shadow Trooper Armor I purchased from someone a few years ago. One of the biggest obstacles/concerns I have is that the left knee guard has been riveted to the lower leg pieces and I need to remove the guard in order to take apart and reassemble the leg pieces after trimming. I don't want to crack the ABS. If anyone here has suggestions then I'd be grateful for ideas. Thank you! Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted October 27, 2021 Report Posted October 27, 2021 Use a drill in short blasts letting the rivet cool regularly. A damp cloth to help cool it won't hurt either. If you let it get too hot it will warp or even melt out. Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted October 27, 2021 Report Posted October 27, 2021 You didn't mention what kind of rivet it was, but I have a thread here that will help: 1 Quote
