I used the search feature and the most recent topic is five years old. I don’t know if anyone has a current source to get their springs for inside the E- 11. I know I can make my own with a wire hanger and a broom handle but I was looking for something better. TIA

Hi Ron.

The thickness of the spring wire should be 1.8 mm.

As far as I'm aware, every builder managed to make the spring like you described (wire and broom handle or something similar).

Even self-made springs cause pressure - enough to keep your receiver's end cap sitting without any rattling.

Depending on how accurate you want to go, there are more things inside that area of the Sterling as you can see here and in these two videos.

Hope this helps. :)

Wire and broom handle is pretty usual, I've had success with coat hanger wire it seems to have some springiness to it so you can still use the cocking level.

Some have used the spring you find in some radiator hoses.
