Vocoder paint

I finally have got a bucket and will receive it hopefully this week.

 

OK...I searched for this and came up with 2 options.

 

What paint do you masters use on your vocoders.

 

I have seen flat black and gloss black.

I use flat black.

I also used flat black enamel, from Testors.

DARN IT. I just sanded off my flat black and put on some gloss black. I have the worst luck ever, lol.

Definitely flat black!

 

I first did it in gloss .. and it was bothering me as hell!!! I finally just repainted over it with flat black.

 

Both cases were Testor paints.

I used Humbrol #21, glossy. I went by TK300´s research into this subject:

For my TK I used gloss black and for my TX I used flat blak.

Going through some reference pictures, there appear to be both glossy and flat. Like most things in the SWOT there is no consistency.

Satin or Flat for me too I glossed a couple of lid's in the past but only ended up repainting them, horses for courses.

Satin black for me. Looks good and offsets the glossy white nicely.
