The reason I ask this is we dont have any comparison images of say a KB kit vs a 850 armor works kit vs a Jimmy, or the mystical Anovos kit lol, and I'd like to put something like that together for our members. Thanks and back to our usual programing Hi Andrew, I'll take the photo this weekend, even though I have glued the Torso section and biceps already, all the remaining pieces are unassembled 1 Quote

The only issue I see using E6000 here or any other areas near seams is it will flex and when it flexes it may crack the seam filler and paint. This advice may be a little late however I suggest using plastic welder/epoxy so the area connections and seams are permanent and have minimal flex. 2 Quote

Thank you Tony, One positive thing of E6000 is that , if necessary you can remove it carefully , and relocate, adjust or replace the piece and glue type. . Let see how it works. 1 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 1, 2021 Report Posted June 1, 2021 I used JB weld for the yoke, you do get quite a lot of strain while putting on and off so any filler may crack between the join. At the end of the day what ever you are comfortable using. 2 Quote

TKSpartan[Staff] Posted June 9, 2021 Author Report Posted June 9, 2021 FOREARMS ASSEMBLY Reference Images I used a Heat Gun (carefully and make a test first with a scrap abs piece) and two wood pieces to mark the section I need to fold in. Applied the heat gun for about 5 seconds to avoid melting and make pressure with my hand to shape the piece. The finished return edge is not perfect but it'll go inside glued to the cover. Additional Trimming Wrist Boxes and Greblies Decided for the ABS Squares method. Used Epoxi Glue Greeblies A few heat therapy. about 20 seconds and bend with a piece of round wood or some heat resistant piece or mould. Must be careful to avoid the piece to crack. You could apply more heat if necessary . Return to Index 3 Quote

TKSpartan[Staff] Posted June 15, 2021 Author Report Posted June 15, 2021 AB SECTION ASSEMBLY As Tony @ukswrath suggested , I'm going to use an Epoxy Glue (the one I could find here) I made an inner cover strip about 6mm. from the supplied ABS plastic pieces. Painter's tape joint I had to make a squared piece to fill the inner space where the two halves meet each other . Both sides inner cover strip glued Will need to trim the marked section later. ABS PASTE , Next is sanding ,sanding and sanding . Return to Index Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 15, 2021 Report Posted June 15, 2021 Hopefully you roughed up the surfaces before adding the glue, it does help adherence Coming along nicely Mario 2 Quote

gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 25, 2021 Report Posted June 25, 2021 You'd have a hard time adding grooves to it It's also a bit wide The belt is ribbed and made from a rubber or a rubber like material. The width of the belt is approximately 2" (50mm). 2 Quote

If so, you could possibly use this:https://www.amazon.com/Neoprene-Dualplex-Weather-Density-Stripping/dp/B07WZH14C5/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=Neoprene+Foam+Strip+Roll+by+Dualplex+adhesive&qid=1624663284&s=hi&sr=1-7 Same thing but 2" wide and it isn't adhesive but I doubt that should be an issue. I've seen some belt kits come with the canvas belt material, and then the outer rubber ribbed layer, but without the middle foam like layer. Others, like the one on the way to me from Belts of the First Order, have 3 layers I believe, as do the screen-used ones I think. If you're just looking for the middle layer maybe the one I linked could work. Edited June 25, 2021 by XYDIU Added image 1 Quote

I would need to cut to 2" to match the rubber one. Thoughs? 1 Quote
