gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted April 19, 2021 Report Posted April 19, 2021 Great work and very impressive building skills. If I was to pick I would suggest sizing down the chest plate a little, it is a tad on the large size 2 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 21, 2021 Author Report Posted April 21, 2021 (edited) alright, as per the advice of gmrhodes13 (Glen) and ukswrath (Tony) I trimmed the chest at the top. I've decided not to trim the biceps cause, well I'm lazy lol first I ripped off the shoulder straps then I trimmed off about an inch around the neck and two top points then re-glued the shoulder straps then I heat shaped it a little bit then I tried it on with the rest of the armor, along with the new boots! action!!! gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted April 21, 2021 Report Posted April 21, 2021 Sizing is looking better, you just need to get the bottom of the chest to move backwards more towards the ab plate, the chest is sticking out quite a bit there Quote

Would ROTK style straps connecting the chest to the backplate help do you think? Quote

On plastic armor straps from the ab to the chest are usually enough but the may not be enough for foam so side straps may need to be added. Fantastic job Quote

gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted April 22, 2021 Report Posted April 22, 2021 The chest/ab straps look as if they could be reduced a little as they are quite long which may help, but side straps would definitely do the trick 1 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 23, 2021 Author Report Posted April 23, 2021 finished side straps! inside the armor on the outside test fit! 2 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 23, 2021 Author Report Posted April 23, 2021 My undersuit top arrived! paired with the pants I already have, It works pretty well as an undersuit. 1 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 24, 2021 Author Report Posted April 24, 2021 finished plastidip on the holster and neck seal! I didn't put plastidip on the back of the neck seal cause nobody sees it. 1 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 24, 2021 Author Report Posted April 24, 2021 I found these brass heads and I cut a piece of craft foam for the holster. test fit on the holster paint preparation '' added plastidip on the foam, primer on the brass heads. after they dry, I'll add silver. 1 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 24, 2021 Author Report Posted April 24, 2021 (edited) added velcro to the neck seal, so now the neck seal is done! so now I just need to finish up the holster parts. Im also thinking of adding a bit more padding in the helmet, then I'll be done?!?! Edited April 24, 2021 by Cheeseballs extra info 1 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 24, 2021 Author Report Posted April 24, 2021 sliver added to brass heads and another coat of plastidip added to craft foam. Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 24, 2021 Author Report Posted April 24, 2021 holster done! I finished the silver on the greeblies then cut slits in the holster and slid the tabs of the brass heads into them and the craft foam was adhesive backed, so I just stuck it on. finished holster with blaster 2 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 24, 2021 Author Report Posted April 24, 2021 updated padding in the helmet, now it fits better. so now... I'm done? I can't believe I'm done already. I'm gonna try on the completed costume, and see how it looks. 2 Quote
Cheeseballs Posted April 24, 2021 Author Report Posted April 24, 2021 (edited) almost almost done!!! action!!! and on second thought, I've decided to do what Ukswrath (Tony) suggested, and shorten the biceps, so that's what I'll do. please feel free to criticize, and tell me if I should change anything for accuracy.
