Howdy, I'm quite new here.  I bought some stormtrooper armor from someone in my garrison.  Our height dimensions are about the same, but I weigh a little less.  However, upon trying on the armor, it is quite clear that the person who assembled it is not the same size as me.  The ab plate has a lot of extra room and the thighs are way too big.  The chestplate touches my arms when I stand up straight with my hands to my sides, the biceps and forearms are quite large and the shoulder bells are too far away from the chestplate assembly.  Needless to say, I have my work cut out for me on downsizing this armor.  Are there any tips for a newbie on downsizing a pre-assembled kit?  I think I have a general idea of how to do it but any help is welcome!  I will upload pictures over the next few days of my parts and my progress, or if anyone asks!  Lord knows I need the help.  I have no idea who the maker of the armor is, not even the previous owner knows.  He thinks its an AM kit or an NE kit from troopergear.  Almost positive it is an ANH stunt.  Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi Jhon, Welcome to FISD.  could you post some photos please?  It's better if we can see haw the armor looks in you and give some suggestions to fix it.

cheers.

So I have taken pictures of the greaves and a thigh piece.  The greaves are large but can be slightly adjustable with the velcro in the back.  I have already removed a cover strip on the other thigh, so I'm not wearing it.  My main concern is the disproportionate sizes of my actual thigh and the massive thigh piece.  I am quite skinny, around 145 pounds and 5 foot 8.  It does not look bad with one thigh on, but with both of them on it makes my thighs look massive, and they bump into eachother pushing them outwards.  Should I continue with the downsizing of the thighs?  Any opinions on the size and look of the greaves?  I also included a picture of the back of the thigh, where the previous owner cut out the back of the thigh for extra maneuverability.  Is this acceptable just for base level certification?

Most armor can be resized, AM would be the largest armor available so I would have a look at other pieces on as well to see if you will need to sized down any of those, you may find it would be easier to on sell and purchase an armor that would fit you better.

Try the chest and ab with the thighs and shins to see if you do have any clearance, AM kits are not only wide but long in the thigh compared to other armor kits.

Note the thigh ammo strip rivets are wrong and mounted in the wrong spot, should be @10mm in from the corner and is also overhanging a little ;)
